The artist's favorite was clearly Aeka, simply based on the fact that she's the only character he did a number of fanarts for separate from the game.
Don't know about the writer or anyone else.

Personally, I liked Mizuki's bad end the most.

For me, it was Nekoko's bad and good end. At the end, she was my favorite.

Mizuki, in the other hand, seemed boring to me,and I never felt appealed by her design and rute.

Just because Nekoko had more scenes doesn't make the ending canon. Look at Crescendo, for example, where you have like 6 routes all of standard H-game length and then the real ending which is quite short. The ending with the ghost girl who plays the piano.

And besides the opening of the game showcases Kouhei's hallucinations about Galaxy Express 999 and the only other time this repeats itself is in Aeka's good ending. So why else would that connection be there if not to give readers a justification to assume Aeka's was the true ending and not Nekoko's which directly ties to drugs as the title implies and Mizuki's which... I, well, her route sucked and just felt tacked on for good measure.

I want to comment on a few points here.
The auditory hallucination is also cleared up in Mizuki's path, specifically she broke the pattern of his mundane life.
Did quite a job of it at that, really, with everything she got him into...

She had her own purpose. I really feel like hers was meant to be played last just because she ties up both routes by speaking out against drugs and bullying.

I don't believe in any "canon" route, I just pick favorites.
