Both. he presumably met up with Arc before becoming Satsujinki, which would tie into "Talk" where Satsujinki kills Einnashe to get its fruit, in order to help Arcueid suppress her bloodlust.

In this chapter, it cuts to him breaking her chains in Castle Brunestud, then cuts back to him on the hill after Aoko leaves, putting the blindfold on, then cuts back to him with Arc, glasses on.

The blindfold was because the glasses supposedly couldn't suppress his Death Perception anymore, so he saves Arc before Eclipse, but then why isn't Arc around then?

Notice how the back of the pages are black during Eclipse, but white when he meets up with Arc, and also the shot with Ciel. So it's two differing time periods. Also his chin grew pointier to show character growth in Eclipse, while he goes back to looking more childish around her, so I'm thinking both happened, and meeting up with Arc again came first. It's also speculation, granted, but seems plausible.

Vol. 1~8 are translated, Stifler is plowing through 9, but there is no bundle dowload to my knowledge. What's on MangaFox is of drastically varying quality, and there are missing pages, unfortunately. I know good scans for volume 1~8 except 7, but they're in Japanese.
