Shuffle! was better when everyone cared about it exclusively due to Kaede flipping her shit. Then all the retards and fags came and shat the whole thing up. Shuffle! wasn't even remotely popular until episode 19, Jesus.

Yandere Kaede is even more loyal and loving than regular Kaede. Regular Kaede has the same backstory of attacking Rin and does not have the extra benefit of being an awesome attack dog with epic jealousy attack stat modifiers on top of it.

VNs exist solely due to their ability to deliver a story, for one, but the job of a game like Shuffle! in particular is to deliver a story that makes the characters likable so it's more fun to fuck them.

Since the majority of Shuffle! characters are either ignorable flab or outright unlikeable compared to glorious Kaede master race, it has failed miserably.

I'm going to second guess myself here and contradict the above paragraph when I say that, looking back on it, Shuffle! was not a terribly unenjoyable game or else I wouldn't have bothered with it in the first place, but it certainly is rather mediocre when you come right down to it.

It's good, but there's a lot of overlapping, shared material between the routes. Until you're on a girl's storyline fully, there's a lot of repetition. Some routes are worse than others for this.
