Money making tips!
Cook your produce. Most common stuff can be cooked alone(turnips, pumpkins, cucumbers come to mind, but there's a lot more), and will get you more money than just selling them, especially if you have a few cooking levels. If you don't cooking them will get you those, so it's a win-win. Use milks and eggs(from Yue or your barn) to make ice creams or puddings (ice creams are made by hand, so you might want to make those if you don't have advanced appliances) to recover rp. Getting level 10 turnips and making pickled turnips out of them can get you great lenghts in spring. You can also buy turnips from the shops, the price of level 10 turnips is the same as level 1 ones, when you're buying them.

Cooking can be farmed by buying flour and making bread, and then toasts with bread, or rice, and making rice balls and baked rice balls with the rice balls.

Many people like to farm money with fishing. This is especially good if you have a few cooking levels and can turn the fish you get into decent sashimi. The best way to do this is to pay the fishing resort to make tuna available. This is possible once you have 14 hearts between Carlos and Carmen. Just fish at the lower end of the resort, and when you have enough, go and make sashimi out of it.

More later, I have to do some stuff now.

More cooking: fondue(bread+4X medium cheese) is good money once you have very high cooking. Cheese is cheap at Yue's, and you can make bread with flour. Alternatively you can make your own cheese with milk+yellow grass, but I find buying the cheese to be a much, much quicker way to go about making money with this. Level 10 fondue sells for about 35k.

The ultimate money*time once you have 99 in cooking seems to be rice porridge. Recipe is rice+herbal mix+hot-hot fruit. Rice is sold by General shop, Yue. herbal mix is made at the pharmacy, but it's an hassle to make and it's much better bought in stocks of 1-2 hundreds from Yue. Hot-Hot Fruit is sold by Yue or the general shop once you sell one. Alternatively you can farm for it. For maximum profit, try to farm it and get it to level 4 fruit/seed, then sell that. Level 4 fruit allows for level 10 rice porridge once you have level 99 cooking. The strategy here is simple. Save one day Yue is in town, reload until she has herbal mix, buy enough to fill all empty spaces in your fridge, and part(not too much) of your inventory. Then go/reload general store until it has hot-hot fruits. It's more effective if you can get a discount too, but it's not necessary. Buy the same amount of hot-hot fruits and rice. Make rice porridges. Ship them. Repeat until you're out of money or herbal mixes, get more herbal mixes/do other stuff until 5 pm, repeat everything until you have the money you need. Since it takes no in-game time to cook, or browse the shops, you only spend the time to walk from one place to another. The total cost of the ingredients is a little less than 33k at full price. The level 10 rice porridge sells for 90k, so the net profit is 57k per porridge. Apparently buying fish to make sashimi isn't as profitable because sashimi/salted fish uses a different formula for selling price at higher levels. I need to investigate golden juice, but it's very likely that while comparable in net profit, you need higher starting capital, and gathering 5 ingredients means more traveling around/ingame time spent.

First time I did this, I ended up with 31 millions, which lasted me the whole summer and half of fall of spending money carelessly and grinding forging and crafting. Then one day, Yue stocked levelizers.

Capitalism, ho!

I think hacking devices take the fun out of games, expecially games like this one. So I don't have one.

Suddenly, this thread sort of reminded me (not that I have actually forgotten, I just didn't think about it today) that I still haven't played through the game even once and now I feel bad about it. Sorry for being so lazy, Karin.

What's the most effective strategy for farming in each season, though? I used to make these Excel charts to calculate which seed ended up being more profitable if you stuck with it for the whole season, but with the introduction of soil quality and crop rotation, these numbers don't seem as consistent anymore. For example, some of the regrowing crops sometimes take longer time to regrow, which really cuts down the profit potential on crops which are mainly profitable due to regrowing fast, such as tomato on this chart.

>> No.6695475

>>6694750
Well, at some point, you don't really farm for money but for stats/skill levels. Which means, tomatoes all the way. By the way, formulas aren't very effective if you're trying to keep the costs down, but excellent soil cuts the days you need for the first harvest of one day. Needless to say, regrowing crops are awful for the soil. I actually stopped farming almost completely for some days in fall, after the intensive tomatoes in summer.

Talking about lesser known facts: if you play dungeons in local multiplay(even if alone, you can), you cannot bring/recruit anyone, or pause the game(you can still use the L button menu, but it doesn't stop the fighting), but in exchange you can:
A) play as someone else(I.E. a waifu or some other guy from the village. Finally you can be the loli or Carlos!), while keeping your inventory. This is very beneficial for some characters since Daria is fast as hell, and everyone gets healed tons by their favorite items. So you can eat super fails with Sofia with no ill effect, or get huge heals from chocolate with Kuruna, or the very cheap herbs with Daria.
B)In-game time doesn't pass. Since it usually takes more than 1 ingame day to finish the level 140 dungeon, even rushing it, this can be a huge help. Given that you can survive it without a pause menu for switching items and no support from monsters. Of course, if you have irl friends playing with you, they can help you, but this being /jp/...

tl,dr: Try dungeons in multiplayer. Never go back to solo.

I just ranch.

Easy to do.
Three rooms of cows.
Takes a few hours in-game to walk to each room. I have an ice wolf tend my grass.

Ultimate for the lazy types.
I don't like Karina, though.

Oh god, I just unlocked the level 220 dungeon. Shit's insane. I'm level 350 and getting my ass kicked left and right. I'm basically using the best equipment there is, too. I guess I just need to level up some more, or try to find the item for the final boss for some upgrades.
