Remember that the files contained are only images and not hard saves, but at least one person on /jp/ has every hard save contained in the folder, so if you see one you like, request it by asking for the full file name you see there.

but if you're confused about how the face works, the mouth starts out very compacted. this means the best way to make facial expressions is usually by moving(hold right click or ctrl+arrows) the mouth bones, not rotating them, which is different from body bones.
the middle two and the bottom-mid+top-mid make the most obvious changes, and the other four should mostly be used for fine-tuning. when i do facial expressions, i find myself rotating/positioning more with the keyboard(including ctrl+arrows/shift+arrows) rather than the mouse.

make sure to save the pose when working with expressions frequently too. it can be very frustrating to lose one by accident, or change it in a way you don't like that's hard to reverse and end up having to do it again from scratch.

i'll try to explain a little better/more later if you didn't already know all of that.

that happens to me a lot too, but just in case you don't know you can use ctrl+z to undo/redo. only works for one step though, so you still have to be pretty careful.

really, the most frustrating thing about posing in TDCG is the hips. the only way to move them(that i know of) is moving the entire body's center position and then readjusting the pose appropriately, which is basically redoing the pose for every major limb. getting fed up with that was actually what caused me to switch to mmd for most everything.

Wow, things really have been going quick while I was sleeping. Just been reading the new Troubleshooting wiki, and I like it. For the Hard Saves, though, maybe adding that the background should be colored green as well, rather than white or a screenshot in general (and poses in pink or yellow) would help, or is that just too obvious to add in?

Hrmm, well - no one who has any idea what they're doing is going to be posting screenshots in .png format anyway... (though you might find them in archives)

Maybe we just post a hardsave on the wiki and say it should be something that more or less looks like that, and around the same filesize (meaning significantly larger than 20kb, which is what a .jpg that size will be, more or less).

I'm sorry if this post violates any rules, but I need to ask about these Hard Save files.

I understand how they work, but...do I need the mods used in them for them to actually load? For example, this picture right here. I don't have the ears or leg things, but will I still be able to successfully load it up?

Secondly, as >>6651783 did, am I allowed to request that one of the files from the example hard save folder be uploaded for me? Specifically the one I have with my post.

Yes

As long as it's a single hard save, it usually takes me about 10 seconds to load the file into 4chan. If you see one you want inside that folder, feel free to request, but make sure the full file name is mentioned somewhere in the post(if you're posting the image copied directly from the folder, it'll contain the image name, as yours did).

no, you don't. as long as you meet the system requirements and you have the proper display mods in your arcs folder(toonshader2 really being the only example), you should be able to load any working hard save.

I'm trying to get TMOProportion. According to that wiki page, it's in XPC02476.zip, which doesn't seem to be in the 44gb torrent I'm currently downloading. So I figure you have to get in on the uploader. That's fine and all, but how do you actually download on there? The site asks for a DLKey, and all I can read about that key is to check the "regulations". I would also like to get other recent mods that aren't on the torrent, I remember there being mediafire links for them, can anyone post them?

I'm doing /jp/ a favor, i'm renaming all the mods so its easier to understand, cause for some reason my program hates it when the unicode fails and adds ~ to the name ie 09AF~1 (0-9 A-F) coding.

You need to have the later version of 3DCG for them to work. I'm pretty sure they started being supported in the XP. Regardless, first you should update to the 4.1 version. It's the first link in OP's post.

Next, go into your My Documents folder and find TechArts3D, then keep going until you find a folder full of the default hard saves.

Next, find the image you want to save off of 4chan. Right Click > Save As and select the previously mentioned folder as the destination.

Change the name to anything you want, then type .tdcgsav.png at the end of the filename. That's all you have to do.

When you next boot up 3D Custom Girl, it should be listed under your saved models.

Not very hard, depending on the mod.

Kind of depends on whether you mean making a mod from scratch or altering a currently existing mod. Making a mod from scratch, meaning making a new 3d model, would be as hard as in any other game, I suppose, but the file system isn't too difficult to work with.

You can add poses into the default pose menu. You have to convert poses to tmo files and then pack them into a tah using the proper naming format for the tmo.

You have to understand how the naming works, but if you look at currently existing pose tmos you should be able to figure out how it works. If not, I'll try to explain later.

TAC1613 - Changes the Girl's Voice (loli voice)
TAC1839 - Changes the Girl's Voice, same girl as in 1613, using Master and a second tah with voice from
TAC1839 - a voice mod in a subfolder (omg, low quality audio!), which possibly only affects the greeting.
XPC00109 - changes the voice to sound like the girl is gagged.
XPC00110 - alters the voice pitch, lower or higher. use only one mod at a time.

You just have to put the tah in the arc folder.

Typically, you use TDCGExplorer to edit a tah file.

You can consider .tah files to just be archives like zip/rar files. They're normally edited by unzipping them and then changing the files inside.

TDCGExplorer, TAHDecrypt, and TAHDecGUI are all capable of unzipping TAH files.

Tso files are pretty much the same, but are for model information only. TDCGExplorer can't unzip them, but TSODecrypt and tso2tex can.

There's a bit of info about tah/tso files on the wiki.

Could you tell me the mod filenames for the N series of body mods? I know they're inside the beta pack, but due to connection problems I can't download the whole GB of material.

Are their any trap/loli specific cloth mods available? I've been only able to locate body mods instead of actual clothing, unless there's a way to edit the breast shading for clothing.

there's quite a bit of clothing for flat-chested characters.

i know there are ways of editing the clothing to make it work either way as well, but i believe it involves a small amount of 3d modelling.

if the size of the guns really bothers you, you can equip them onto a blank character and then shrink the character with tmoproportion. you'll have to align the gun with the girl you want to pose by moving the blank character with the gun, though(fairly easy if you have finished your pose already).

It finally started for me... after 4 hours, though I did reset my comp immediately prior to it suddenly working. Oh well, all well that ends well.

currently creating+uploading a preview folder for what i can find among my mods that covers/is very near the chest area and would look appropriate on a flat chested character. file image quality will not be good, but it'll be good enough to get a look at the clothing.

i've included items that expose the chest area, such as open jackets or pulled up shirts, so long as they don't give an impression of there being large breasts(for example, i didn't include ones that accounted for breasts by making the cloth bulge to the sides).

some may not be completely flat, but they are all much smaller than average. remember you can often adjust how flat the clothes are by using the breast size slider and/or tmoproportion.

will post it when it's up.

remember, there are often multiple different options for clothing at the bottom of the screen. i've only showed one for each, excepting some of the ones who had important/very different alternatives.

for example, if you see miku's shirt, there's a chance that neru/teto/other characters with similar outfits are there as well, so look at the bottom to see if there are other options if you're interested.

Does someone have some short hair mod like >>6654069 for exemple ? i've downloaded a lot of mods and i'd say the hairs are the hardest to find, i only found long/twintail/ponytail style and generally re-color.
