After the Tea Party, i'm starting to think ep 1-4 were just bullshit created by Yasu in order to not real truth get out and also create a world where everyone lives happy.

I think the whole "roulette" motive doesn't really make sense, considering what Battler reaction in ep V, witch Featherine also pointed.

Not necessarily. Yasu did make predictions of what would happen, but I don't think that would have been her real reason. More likely, she is far more interested in the cousins than any of the adults, and the story is also intended to show her heart if you look hard enough, so she wrote mysteries that mainly focused on Battler, Jessica, George, Kanon and Shannon.

I never did that. In fact, it was generally accepted around here that she wasn't the culprit because all that's been presented about her character doesn't make sense if she is. That is to say, she's (Yasu's) definitely the culprit in episodes 1-4 but those are only messages in bottles, not real events.

It was only after all these people who had apparently lived under rocks for months and not touched untranslated Umineko started discussing the episode that the idea of Yasu actually being the culprit came up again.

Think of it this way, when you hire a hitman, you get them to kill someone. The elaborate, how done it of the hitman isn't something you would plan out yourself.

Ep VII revealed howdunnit

You guys are missing a big hint in the Ep4/7 comparison: The fact that the victims are called out 2 at a time.

In Episode 7, this is because there are 2 killers. Both victims are killed at roughly the same time.

In Episode 4 however, George is killed first, even though he was called out second. Jessica seems to know how he died.

Now, lets assume there are 2 killers in Episode 4. Why call out victims 2 at a time? Why take the first one called out prisoner and then kill the second? And then kill the first?

You see where this is going? The only reason to call out Jessica first, even though she's supposedly going to be killed second, is if Jessica was working with the killer. This is also why Gohda and Kumasawa kept to the story they were instructed to tell- they were told one of the cousins was in on it too.

Mayhaps Jessica had a spare key to the storage shed and killed Gohda and Kumasawa, then waited for George in the garden? Remember- the gun used to kill George, Gohda and Kumasawa was different than the one that blew everyone's heads off in the dining room, if the wounds are any indication. So they were probably all killed by the same person, at roughly the same time.

You know, back in Episodes 1-4, I had this theory that Kyrie and Jessica were working together, even though I couldn't quite exactly put my finger on why. I was really convinced about it. After episodes 5-6, I didn't really insist on it, though it wasn't disproven, it was unlikely.

I've been avoiding spoilers, so this is my first time joining discussion since EP7 came out; forgive me if this stuff is common knowledge.

What the fuck is up with Kanon? I was pretty convinced I had it figured out, and was waiting throughout EP7 for it to be revealed.And then nothing? There is still no valid explanation presented in game for all the Kanon shit that gets ignored by people and the red text about him being dead. One throw away line about it really doesn't count.

This must be part of the cleanup in EP8.

For the record, my theory is this: Kanon is a servant that starts his job three years before the murders (this gets mentioned in conversation). Kanon dies, and for some reason the death has to be covered up from some people (Battler obviously being one), so Yasu has to play the role. In this way it makes sense that the people who live on the island don't bring it up, and that any red text about Kanon can be referring to the /original/ Kanon ("Kanon is dead", etc).

Episode 7 was good but it kinda gave me this impression of ryukishi coming out of the monitor saying "hurr durr you didn't understand shit and I am not going to tell you, idiots". Also, the epitaph was bullshit since resolving it didn't really mean shit (there was this athmosphere in the last years like that if you resolved it you pretty much would understand everything).

Also, I have this feeling that, by the end of episode 8, we'll still be wondering what the fuck was going on (na, ryukishi isn't going to explain shit. The Heart and go on).
