goddammit, on my first run of easy modo Gigan Busters for the Mate objective I acquired a Micro Bazooka... then I realize it can't be used by Air or Lnd, and it's SS so Maril can't use it either. So a fat lot of good it does me with the bots I use. Looks like I either give Maril a mini bazooka or experiment with grenades. Also need to find a decent UC bot arm to replace the shockwave arm, fuck that gun, its range is shorter than Jikun's tackle and the startup time leaves you already getting melee raped, and Air bots can fly higher than its range.

Also, has anyone started making a quest item table yet?

you can change your resolution beyond 800x600, all resolution options will appear after you set your "performance" on low. you can set the performance on whatever you want again once you've chosen resolution.

heh, first arena I go into I wind up in 2nd place for the first half of the round until my Maril gets destroyed, then I proceed to suck balls trying to melee with Jikun and drop to 8th.

Then after all my bots max out on xp from that one round, I post on /jp/ instead of leveling them and get 0 xp from the next battle as a result. Whoops.

also, please note that the human bot sales are only "temporary", so I'd suggest saving up UC and buying one of every or at least the ones you want to use.

Chances are that they'll get removed and added back into shop as RT bots after a while (after beta perhaps?)

I have Maril but I'm not opening the game again now; I can tell you though that there's nothing extra; it's a Maril Trill with the color scheme of the one in one of the last couple garapons, but no accessory, and no slots on anything. All of the parts are removable though so you could eventually replace them with slotted parts while keeping the core's xp.

She makes me a happy CB player though, I never expected to get a Maril, let alone a Maril Trill without Rt. Just got her second core upgrade before logging off, and she was already putting me in the top 5 with just 1 upgrade.

so far destructor has been looking like the Toybox of OB1; that is, noobs standing on powerspot all the time spamming wildly even if there's no targets. Makes it a bitch to play air right now, especially since there aren't many Lnd targets to pick on. When my Maril gets destroyed I'm finding myself doing better with Jikun than Maria, which is pretty bad with how much I've always sucked at melee.

By the way, what's the best way to combo with Jikun? I thought I should start with tackle selected, but I've found myself surviving the longest just spamming kick. Starting with something else seems to only combo the leaping part of the kick and not the whole series of kicks.

I tend to stay in a point of the map for some seconds, unleash a small barrage and then move back because either strike back or some air bots realize they can flank me. The problem with the Destructor is that is too slow to dodge a couple of shots from air once you lock him down.

depends on what you care about. As far as practicality is concerned, Maril Trill is the only promo bot you can't get with UC right now (and even once Rt bots come out the Trill version is garapon); Lazflamme LOUD is the same gameplay-wise as the standard Lazflamme, ditto with the gold bots.

I've been playing with the shop beam rifle as a poor nigger substitute for an auto beam rifle but it seems a lot worse than I thought it was going to be. the reticle drops a good 30 degrees below the center of the screen when you're moving and it seems to be several ms slower in response when actually shooting. has anyone else noticed this or am I just imagining things?

I was an avid Auto Beam Rifle user. For me, the proper replacement has been the Beam Gun and the Wide Beam Gun. They have the familiar efficacy of the ABR.

Good int and speed makes you feel like you're really putting rounds down range and a good range will let you circle above your target from a respectable distance. Not to mention, the ammo capacity is pretty good too.

Just picked up this game. I find it rather addicting, but a downside is that no one I know plays it. Although, I'm probably gonna stick with it since I enjoy it a lot more than almost any other mmo I've played (its pretty much my replacement for Ace Online since my comp BSoD'd from AO).

You know what, even when I don't get top 10, I feel like I'm enjoying myself. There a few thing that I've encountered that genuinely piss me off, but generally they have not been too common.

I like what they did with the balancing. Though it'll probably get bent out of shape as soon as it gets officially released.

I am also okay with faction distribution. Now BRD actually gives us a mean challenge.

aside from hopfags being a lot easier to kill now I think it's a lot worse than before. with ivis everywhere I always had plenty of targets and the artillery numbers were kept managable. even if I did get too close I had 40 fly to get away. now every other player is a destructor and I'm like a paper airplane.

You have to play air as it's meant to be played now. You can't just Rambo into a pack of artillery firing your ABR and kill everything. Pick off loners and people at low health. I've been getting top 3 in almost every match in low level crims.

I'm having a surprisingly fun time flanking entire enemy armies with my destructor. If you hit them from the back, you can usually wipe out the person you target in a couple of salvoes, and then run. No-one notices half the time.

PROTIP: Jikuns either move forwards/backwards or side to side. Align yourself either behind or to the side of the Jikun, then open fire with everything. It will die fairly fast.

My MORE TACTICS is a literal bumrush into a pack of enemy bots, preferably arts, with a slayer bit and plasma gun, kill a few and retreat. With a 22 fly lvl10 crimrose.

I tend to pack two box missiles and a misside arm on my destructor, and space myself to the right/left of the battle. The angle gives you a good shot at even high-fliers and packs enough punch in an alpha strike to kill before fliers can retreat. It does leave me vulnerable if the main line collapses though.

the thing is that wiz has more dominant guilds, but their average player fucking suck immensely because majority of them joined wiz just because wiz was leading. if you enter a game where wiz side doesn't have players from the leading guilds then wiz is most probably constantly losing

and because of the amount of winning faction joining cocksuckers the vs games are almost always full on wiz side, which makes it even worse.

HG people stayed in wiz because we expected the other guilds to migrate and also because the other lobbies sucks. in the end only some of the snowflake players moved to brd, while the rest of the guilds decides to for some reason stay in wiz (HMM I WONDER WHY)

honestly if you just want to ENJOY the game you should pick anything other than wiz

Quick jump gets you at max height faster so I like it. I hear people say float dash makes you fly low faster, but I'm not seeing. It must be because you're lower to the ground so the terrain moves faster that gives the illusion of speed.

Float dash is definitely faster than normal flying, just try it by timing how long it takes you to fly a certain distance normally, and then with float dash.

But float dash is mainly used as a defensive tactic anyway, not for its faster flying.

But that's the appeal of playing on DOS or BRD. Constantly getting stomped helps you get better. Only playing matches where you outnumber the other team or where you're even with the other team won't get you anywhere.

yeah right, you can't learn anything when you can't even get out of your spawn because it's 15v5 and the other 4 players on your team are playing for the first time. Even on Sandy Storm with that tall ledge you spawn on, and against mostly random WIZ players, we lost (by a small margin) because too many people kept jumping off into a gangbang and dying instantly instead of spamming from the ledge.

I have a wide beam gun in one arm and a mini bazooka in the other. I bazooka arts and airs, I use wide beam gun on the rest. I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN. If I see someone trying to flee with low health I will chase after them till they die even if they run to their team for help. My Crimrose is worth 400 points, your whatever is worth 2 or 3 times that. 2/3 of the time I kill you and run, 1/3 of the time I kill you and die but the point spread is in my favor. Basically hunt players that are distracted or low on health attempting to flee.
