This is a tricky question.

Imagine you're a small-time trader in the commodities market. The goods are all there - you actually go and do an physical inventory on it and check that it is a solid choice. Mountains of the stuff, all piled into warehouses. For the next few days you watch carefully as the price rises slowly. You're not interested in the small movements right now, but a worry in your gut makes you look over the trends again and again.

Then it happens all at once. The agricultural sector holdings you have suddenly boom due to the floods in Pakistan, and while your grain shipments are temporarily worthless until someone can go over and check they're still intact, you'll reap a huge reward as the wheat and grain market's supply is depressed. It's elating.
