Well this may sound pretty ironic but the main reason that kept me posting was the fact that I knew meido would come and put order on the board and that gave me relief that someone somewhere was looking after this board, yeah, like having a big sister you want attention from probably. Maybe I should create a new trip and use it for my normal posts and see how well the "reputation" of such trip goes, it would be hilarious. Anon's concept of contribution is twisted since only a handful of people contribute here with something, that would be translators of all sorts (except for those "translate this plz :P I'm from /b/") and people that dig out stuff from Comiket, the rest of "contribution" is pretty arguable due the diversity of opinions towards it and a fine example of that is the OC thread, something that I do "contribute" as anonymous sometimes by the way. Also feeding lazy people with a spoon make them happy so they think you are actually contributing to the board when you are simply making them grow even lazier.

/jp/ is divided between many groups and every single one of them has specific tastes and opinions. One of them is the group of people making retarded threads, I'll admit that I my opinion is pretty harsh when judging a thread but if you agree that a fucking thread about what course of action you would take in a specific situation, personification of characters and many other crap I know most of the people here dislikes, there is certainly something wrong with your because there are SEVERAL other places for you to be on instead of /jp/, you would be happier there with your own kind.

Does it seem, to anyone else, that since the purin raids, we've had an influx of /b/ users? Sorry to disappoint you but I do not work and dropped uni years ago. In fact I did had to work for a short period in order to eat, but I managed to get free money again for a long time already. I'm most of the time refreshing /jp/ while doing something else when there aren't any threads that interest me, also I'm not using that trip all the time, even if shitty threads are being made. For example right now I'm simply ignoring them and just browsing normally, I'll probably navigate trough all pages later searching for them just to keep up with the silly pattern out of boredom.

The only threads I don't hide after posting with the trip are the ones I'm doubt about posting or not, so I leave it open to see how the thread develops and how people react not only to my post (which is usually ignored) but the thread itself. And THIS thread was not one of those cases.

Some people say that threads being ruined because of that certain post is good, some don't. From my own perspective it's neutral, it's just like someone expressing opinions towards a thread with a sense of "joke" mixed into it, which would be the same repetitive pattern.
My normal posts however, certainly improve the quality of the board but you don't have to believe that, since you can't recognize me when I'm Anonymous.

He would simply search for "QUALITY THREAD" right here at the ghost board, open the threads, delete some of those and delete my post on others.
I always stopped posting once I saw the maid was up, never complained a single time about his judgment because I know it's useless, even if I disagree with him he has the last word, so be it. Before he quit (out of sheer frustration of dealing with people like you and getting nowhere fast) the janitor delegated tasks like deleting your spam, deleting Sion spam, deleting mugen's posts, etc to a script. He never searched for your threads and deleted the posts. Your posts were deleted automagically by the mecha maid. Bad threads that weren't caught by his filter were deleted manually, and by some coincidence (bound to happen, since you post in every thread you don't like) some of those happened to have contained your posts. Yes, this worked wonders back in the day. It's truly the best way to handle unwanted threads, since if they don't garner any attention, posting them becomes pointless.

Too bad it doesn't anymore as every thread apparently must be replied to. Reporting silently does nothing but give a silent stamp of approval to these kinds of threads, they'd get bunches of replies and merrily populate page 0 for ages before any sort of janitor or moderator cares enough to delete it, of course given that they'd delete it in the first place in spite of the reports. Because why would they? They're not in control of the quality, as was finally hammered into the late meido's head.

I don't like it any more than you do, but what QC does actually works in that, unlike with actual spam, the posters ruin their own precious threads all by themselves, thereby also forcing the staff to do their job if/when the thread becomes a general nuisance on the board. I can only wonder if the sense of QC's "spamming" comes from the rest of the thread doing the actual spam entirely on their own and falsely attributing it to him.

Not to mention that each time he posts, QC does everything he could to be as ignorable and filterable as possible - apart from posting in caps, I'll admit - a name, a trip, a repeating sentece, sage. From what I observed using the ghost board my post gets ignored most of the time actually. I also noticed that most of decent people that dislike this trip don't start these (at least I hope so), they may participate on it but I'm certain that the ones starting all the crap are new people getting angry and frustrated.

Well, there are 3 kinds of people on /jp/. Those who crave for a better quality of threads (on their own conception), the ones that like the low quality threads (from the point of view of the first group) and those that don't give a fuck.

Since you are touching Touhou specifically, we can distinguish these 3 groups easily on /jp/, with the third one being a minority. If you belong to the second group, well, there are countless other sites you would love to browse. The first group is limited to /jp/ which may you believe or not is probably the best place to talk about Touhou in my opinion at least and I'm not even mentioning only serious threads, I'm considering all threads on this, even the ones I disapprove. (having so many of those is a problem though and they should be reduced to a small number, with some specific ones being totally extinguished)

Then you come and say "quality" of a thread is subjective. Well, you can't please everyone after all but I'll make my stand.

Like I already said many times Touhou is the main reason that makes me keep browsing /jp/, it's the subject I post the most about, normally and with the trip too. As I see it, and having witnessed /b/, /a/ and /v/'s downfalls among others, shitty threads quite simply tend to beget shitty threads in an almost exponential growth. There's nothing more to it.
