No, the only things that affect your endings are your choices.

There are a shit load of bad ends, but there are a couple proper endings.

You have to note that the game forces you to read through it in a certain order, you have to complete the Fate route to unlock choices that let you get onto the UBW route, and completing that gives you choices that lets you get onto Heavens Feel ending.

Nope, when you die & go to the tiger dojo, you get a tiger stamp and that's it. Depending on the number of stamp you have you unlock something - you'll see when you have enough, it's nothing major. There is a single ending on the Fate route so don't worry too much about that.

Honestly Kotomine and Lancer are rather GAR themselves.

But honestly, Archer's fight with Berserker in Fate is all off screen. Everyone runs out into the forest, then it cuts to Berserker being in awe of his opponent and wishing he was "sane" when he fought him. Then we get pissed loli.

But yeah, Archer's really not GAR until UBW, but it's not a hot blooded Guts type GAR. It's more of David Xanatos/ Batman type GAR.

Hell, Shirou gets fucking GAR in UBW too.

He gets very manly during the Illya route. Just keep playing.

I started this VN in 2008 and I couldn't finish it because it was just so fucking boring and poorly written. It just feels like poor, uninspired fantasy garbage with awkward hentai on top so people will actually buy it.

Now I recently started playing again, and it's just the same pointless fucking filler banter. But really, 40 fucking hours for a fast playthrough? With this mess of a plot and terrible, terrible characters?
