Kanji have set meanings, multiple pronunciations.

七夜 - Shichiya, Nanaya, Nanayo

七 (Seven) - Shichi, Nana, Na, Nano, Satoru
夜 (Night) - Yoru, Yo, Yoru, Ya

Not OP, but to be fair the only readings of that I can find are "Shichiya" when the kanji are coupled (I know Shichi means 7 too...) and for the last kanji "yo" and "yoru".
