Zero's route on X5 was great and you can't deny it.

X5 was a good game but the lack of animated scenes and voices (if you are not playing the Japanese version) like you have in X4 is depressing. The whole virus incident is way too apocalyptic (probably because Keiji wanted to work on the Z series as soon as possible), like the whole thing is too rushed and sudden.

I've played through X5 about 20 times, so far and I've only had the cannon work twice with all 4 parts. Every other time I just got the time delay. With the shuttle I've had it fail with all 4 parts several times, Zero survive once, and the rest working but Zero not surviving or whatever.

I think that has more to do with the last stage with Spikes Spikes Everywhere, then fighting High Max, then Gates, then Zombie Sigma.
If you use the Shadow Armor or whatever to negate the spikes, you're left with pretty much nothing that can damage High Max, and Gates is just annoying with his teleporting around and changing the platforms around. Zombie Sigma on the otherhand is a pushover. Also, Blaze Heatnix's stage. Holy shit fuck that stage.

X5 on the other hand has a generally higher difficulty with things like Duff McWhalen's stage, the T-Rex guy's stage, but I don't remember any of the last stages being all that difficult except maybe the X/Zero boss fight and some of the instant kill lasers.

X6 is very hard. And REALLY FUCKING LONG if you want to do a complete run with all items. But is mad fun. In X5 it was awesome planning the order to defeat the bosses to get specific items and such. Overall I was pleased that CAPCOM gave the finger to the zeldafaggots that wanted yet another megaman to jump and shoot the whole game like a fag. X5 and X6 are testament to this. X4 was the last mainstreamed X 2D game. Also emulators are pure awesomeness. Makes the Mega Man games a whole different experience! xD

fa/tg/uy here. I'm one of the many touhou-loving fa/tg/uys out there, and trust me, there's more then a few. There's a rather popular story in /th/ that speaks to that, in fact. But this poster is right- there's also a dedicated legion of hater fucks on /tg/. The same cunts were ranting and raving about quest threads as well, for a long while.

However, there IS a mod sticky up now that put an end to most of that bullshit (THANK GOD) and it specifically said that "some video games are okay too." Weather touhou falls under that heading, I don't know.

I use Near Infinity Beta and Shadow Keeper to edit .CRE files one by one, which is pain due to java and loading times. CRE determines the paperdoll's look and status (races, gender) and spells and portrait and stuff.

It's generated every time you enter new map, so if you enter Town Square, the .CRE file of Jan Jansen will be created. If you save there, edit the .CRE file into Nitori and load the game, the NPC will still be that original Jan Jansen, so it's quite a pain since you must edit the character before generating him/her in-game.

For script editing, I just use simple WeiDu translation method. It generates huge .TRA (txt-like) file you can edit directly (I imagine it can be split for wiki method) and will be used as "translation" of the entire game.

I just mass/replace names, switch pronoun from male to female and stuff which took me days. And then I hit the Lore and complicated Underdark stuff, duplicated thousand of lines since I got my extra mod installation order wrong and so on. Eventually I give up.
