Bombs are there to be used. Unless you are shooting for a high score there is no point to not use bombs. If you can continue without bombs play on lunatic or something.

Joysticks actually don't give any advantages. Just because you can move the joystick 360 degrees doesn't mean you can move in more than 8 directions.

I share a computer with my roommate, so high scores are important. I still do bomb when necessary, but I'm trying to focus more on not putting myself into that situation in the first place.

Learn to recognize which bullets are the kind that home in on your exact location when launched.

-Chen's second normal attack, when she launches a red, then blue ring of arrowhead bullets
-Lilly White shooting those red arrowhead bullets
-The sequence of fairies right after mid-boss Youmu in stage 5. (You can get 400+ really easily)

I got a lot better at it when I moved on from the game to the extra/phantasm stages. Just try the really hard stuff, and when you get good at that you'll look at normal and laugh.

Beat normal mode in any of the games to unlock extra by any means. Master extra till you're doing the patterns automatically. Go back to regular game and congrats, you're a lot closer to being a graze master.

Also, playing in the mornings after a good breakfast does wonders. The few people I know who play have tried this and it works for them too.

You can get better at videogames by working out and going to the gym.

I'm not fucking kidding. Top/pro gamers (the ones that actually make money off playing) always include proper exercise in their training.

It makes sense when you think about it anyways, as stamina is important in shooters and fighting games. I've lost count of the times that I beat some fat ass in a tourney because he was all tired/worn out from the previous matches.
