Guys, am I the only one who didn't like Majikoi? I tried my best to get into it, but something just didn't work for me. Either I couldn't get into the game's mood, or the art was subconsciously off-putting, or that it was simply just boring. I was pre-disposed to like this game considering Tsuyokiss was one of my favorites, but it just couldn't hold me.

Does it get better at some point? I'm pretty sure I haven't reached any signficant branch points yet. I can't be the only one to be unimpressed. The Yandere Translations guy gave the story a 9/10 in his review, but he ends it with this: "The only complaint about the story is nothing to write home about and no part of it blows you away. And the battle scenes could have been better." That doesn't sound like a 9/10.

I'm assuming by story he means plot.
Plot isn't everything in a story.
There's other important factors like characterization, how it' developed, and so on. And really, how many VNs actually have a good plot.

Takajun is a great translator, but he's got terrible taste.
He panned Sumaga and liked Wanko to Kurasou enough to translate it.
