We've been having Muramasa threads daily for some reason.... Or atleast I think we have. Yesterday someone made a 'Name a character better then Carmelo and Perla in Muramasa' (I think?). But it didn't get many replies (probably because it was stupid).

as good as a dark-themed action game can be, probably.
It does have some problems of pacing (fights are similar to what you see in Hanachirasu, a few parts drag on, a few parts are cut short), so don't go in expecting a perfect game.
I personally think it's my favorite because I didn't care for the aforementioned faults at all, and had the blast of a lifetime playing it, which is saying something considering the style in which it's written and its length.

Muramasa has a grand total of a single character vaguely approaching anything resembling sanity (Muramasa herself, Team Yuuki doesn't count), everyone else is batshit nuts. Consequently, everything is either comedy gold, horrific tragedy, or sometimes both.

GHQ is the best of the bunch and apparently operates with the mentality of Warhammer Orks, they even have a looted tsurugi. They outfit it with every gun they can find in typical ork fashion, all it lacked was a red paintjob.

Nonetheless, it's absurdly powerful. Arahabaki, into da fight!

I'm really not that much into action eroge but yeah, it's definitely my favorite.
Personally I dislike when novels try to feel too "dark and edgy look at the meaningful story" but Muramasa had a really nice balance between its serious side and its side which didn't take itself too seriously.
And the overall thematic was developed really throughly in an awesome way.

They would have made a really nice couple

that feel when replaying Muramasa attracts you more than playing a brand new game but you can't let your backlog growing any more
