And I can tell you right now, getting rain splattered off windshields, handling two drive-thru lanes and a register at once, bailing out the front when the ice machine broke, and getting to see what someone's arm looks like after getting a fresh fry trap melded to it, THE most heartless, soul crushing thing I ever had to do was tell little kids that we were out of the toy they wanted. And by extension, the CREEPIEST old hags would come in and buy them at ridiculous prices, comparable to the meals themselves. Or better yet, when a manager was around and I HAD to charge those fees to little kids wanting cheap little toys. If they weren't looking, I'd hand it to them with a smile, dammit.
