I figured I ought to have some general statements up here that apply to certain misconceptions, just so that everything is as clear as possible.

First, I always read VNs/eroge in the original Japanese. I have never once read one in English--and probably never will (English is an objectively superior language for storytelling though). So if you're reading a decent translation of something, don't be surprised if it's better than the original one, i.e. F/SN.
