Instead of the military you could always join the police force. Just enroll at a local police academy (if you can't pay for it just take out another loan, I mean really what is the difference between being $3000 in debt and $5000 in debt in your situation?) and hell if you live in a dangerous city they might enroll you for free for being a volunteer. It will pay less than the military but unlike the military you can quit when you want to and the physical requirements are far less.

Plus you get a gun and a club. You can be an asshole to everyone and there isn't anything they can do about it. And if they do you get to crack their heads open or shoot them with a taser then throw them in jail and laugh at them. Much more fun than the Chair Force

Why do you owe so much money? I opted to just get a 2 year degree from a technical college. Nothing to pay off at the end. I actually come out with $200 to spend every semester.

Not as prestigious as going to University, but I can make a decent living as a computer technician. Certifications are free if you're a full time student too. Only downside is they cram a lot of things in a year here. Have to take 4 classes during the summer along with 17 credit hours every semester.
