I never said I didn't like Escargot. I'm one of the few people in the family who likes the stuff. They apparently can't stand skewering the slug out of the shell with a toothpick, and they won't believe me when I say it's good stuff.

But saying that all French cuisine was created for the ruling class is a statement that doesn't take into account the bigger picture. Cuisine is almost never that simple.
