It happens more often than you think, and there was even a Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei about that. I forgot the exact name of what they called this, though.

But hey, just think of it like this. You're bored and browsing through YouTube, and you come across a gaming video with something nice and a catchy tune on the background. Then you decide to find out about that music, and you end up finding a certain game because of it, which motivates you to try playing it to see if there are any other nice catchy tunes on it.

final fantasy was published by square enix, and touhou was published by team shanghai alice.

and before you say anything, the fighters are more doujin games than the rest of the touhous. one person can't make a game? oh really.

>>6343448
so the only differance is how many people ware in the team working on it? do you know how many doujin games ware released by group of people?
it's not that games with single creators don't exist outside of japan. it's just that those games usually suck. one circle making a game does not make it more 'self published' than one company making a game.

2.
just saying that this point is no longer relevant to say if touhou is a doujin game.

3. that's good to know. but why some games ARE hated there? well you are not one to ask, since you are here, but a point for thought.

Point is, touhou is a game. the fan aspects of this game are strong enough to justify it's presence on /jp/, but it is still a game and if you don't like talking about shippings and music arrangments, you can go talk about the game itself where you should- /v/.
