Ugh, I don't think ZUN ever let out canon information about the characters' physique. He lets the fans do whatever they damn please with their images of Gensokyo, that's also one of the reason why Touhou is so popular.

Zun has pretty much always described his girls as being young girls when anything about their form was mentioned. Most immortal types he mentions about being unable to grow up. It's pretty safe to assume anyone non-human is a loli. Possible exception with Suwako because she had to give birth.

The humans probably aren't lolis though, since Sanae's sprite has breasts and it's implied the games take place in real time. Also ZUN mentioned in some interview that he doesn't want to discuss their age because he doesn't want to think about them getting older.

Yeah, Suwako was originally supposed to look like most youkai in terms of age.. that is, somewhere in late teens/early 20s. She's an old hag of old hags, an old god among the gods themselves.

And she doesn't even really look much like a kid in-game. She just looks younger than Kanako and doesn't appear to have a very serious personality, and so people seemed to take it that she was a little kid god who couldn't stand up to a full-grown one. ZUN didn't care enough to correct people on this, and so loli-Suwako stayed. Pic is one of the very very few fanarts I've seen that depicts her like how she actually looks in game.

ZUN will never make such things, he avoid creating canon as much as he can. Also, that would have a huge impact on the fanon side and it's better to leave that alone. The best you can get is official print works and manga (and even that is confusing since for example in Marisa's Grimoire everyone looks like a 7 years old), or maybe some of the endings of the games.

He's divulged a lot in various interviews over the years, that plus books like Bohemian Archive and little bits gleaned from his various manga give us shit tons more info than the games provide.

However, this is true mostly for things like personality, places and events, powers etc. Physical appearance is basically the one thing ZUN basically keeps out of, hence sometimes character appearance can be shaped a lot by the fanbase.

Like for example, Yukari has never been canonically drawn by ZUN with tits (flat as a board actually), and yet one of the first things fans think of with Yukari is.. huge tits. Also, Chen is not at all a kid/kitten, yet is often drawn that way by fans. Hell, a ghost-cat (Chen's youkai type) is actually supposed to be a very, very old cat. She's Ran's shikigami mostly because she doesn't have the mental capacity to lead much on her own, after all her human form is just that, a form... she is still just a cat mentally and hence more like an awesome pet than anything else.

If we go by canon, most of the cast is at least semi-loli and even the more mature looking individuals don't have much of a chest. (Canon, as in everything that has been approved by Zun so far. Yes, also the fighting games and Th12.8.)

He always refers to his daughters as young girls, so you can be sure nobody was intended to look too mature.

But that's canon stuff.

In fanon there is no consistency and we don't even need it. That's just how the fanon works.

I wouldn't even go so far as to say Reimu's route is canon. ZUN seems really big on the folklore aspect of his universe, and I guess that's why it's hard to say something happens one way or another. I mean, look at most of the games. Marisa's route has to be semi-canon in at least some of them, or she wouldn't be a self-proclaimed incident resolver, would she?
