Question marks are a sure sign of east asian languages needing to be installed.
You might also have to set your non-unicode language to Japanese or run it in AppLocale.

I have no idea. When I first installed F/sn, I'd never heard of this stuff either, and I got a blue error screen and was told to install east asian languages and use AppLocale. I guess it's possible the latest installer from Mirror Moon makes it run fine without them? Message did put a lot of work into it, after all.

What operating system are you using? We can provide easy instructions. Alternatively, you could google it, I'm sure there are guides.

Never used Vista, but I'm told its control panel is a lot like Win 7's.
