Honestly, /a/ has gotten better these past few months. A good measure of how good /a/ is is the amount of trolling in One Piece threads. When there is a lot of spam and SET FAIL, this is a statistical indicator that /a/ is shitty. But recently, there have been dozens of threads without a single troll. It has been a good sign for the board as a whole.

The thing is though, we haven't stayed the same for two years, we've been up and down wildly. Great chunks of 2009 were incredibly shit, and not just summer, whereas things eventually got good again, then dropped terribly in quality for a while, and now we've recovered to somewhere close-ish where we were two years ago.
