My niece is 12. She lives 3 blocks away. She's lived there with her family for the entire 8 years I've lived in this apartment. Last time I saw her was at a family gathering a week ago for my grandfather's birthday. Before that it was at another family gathering about 6 weeks earlier. This is the child I'm closest to in the entire world and I rarely see her.

Besides being a horrible uncle I have no desire to be around kids. They're annoying little urchins. I would play video games or watch anime with them but my niece doesn't like either and my nephew that does is banned from them because of his ADD behavior. So I never go see them.

IIRC, atleast one of those studies actually studied child molestors, not pedophiles.

It's not my intention to brag or anything, but I have made 3 properly executed and observed IQ tests, and I got over 135 on the tests.

Though IQ is in all honesty a shitty indicator of intelligence, at best it can certain types of cognetive functions, but it is in no way an overall indicator, so it is kind of shit and IQ doesn't say much. And I won't deny that I have tons of flaws for that matter either, can't even act properly in a crowd, though that isn't related to IQ.

Anyway, while it is not my one and sole strong fetish (though it has been), the attraction to loli is still notable.
Though I am somehow certain of the reason for it being that I hit puberty exceedingly early, and looked at girls my age pervertedly as early as an 7-8 year old.

I fall in all those categories, except the memory test scores, on account of never having done a memory test Or at least if I have done, I've completely forgotten about it
I think the main flaw in the study is that they are performing them on known paedophiles, i.e. those who were stupid enough to let someone around them find out (unless you are once again a complete idiot and download large amounts from open networks, I believe most arrests come as a result of a denouncement by a friend or relative), thus giving a biased sample.
Seeing as how much of a public whipping boy paedophiles are for everyone with an axe to grind, people are going to be doing everything in their power not to let anyone find out, unless they are too stupid/autistic to deduce what societies attitude towards such people are.

I think this study only applies to "acute pedophilia", I mean, actual pedophiles (for 3D) who aren't able to feel attracted to older girls/boys (10+). Otherwise, that respected study showing 25% of adults showed some kind of arousal to pedophilic stimuli would conflict with this one.

Yes, I know this is a bad comparison and different studies shouldn't be compared like this, but just saying.

It sounds like a pretty self-serving thing to say, but I think lolicons have a greater average IQ. The reason is simple: A person who has discovered lolicon is more likely to be a nerd, and a nerd is more likely to have a high IQ.

But following the same line of logic, you could associate many of the more negative traits too, which are quite obvious and which I shouldn't even need to list.

Does this study just use child molesters as subjects? That might explain the prevalence at least some of those traits, since you'd expect someone who molests kids to have poor impulse control etc.

Besides that, I can't imagine any pedophile would freely identify himself as one unless he was already a convicted molester.

I'm pretty sure they only studied people who have a history of sexual crimes (and we all know that criminals in general aren't exactly the sharpest pencils in the box). I mean, you can't really put an ad in the paper that says "pedophiles needed for clinical trials" and expect someone to show up.

Does this study apply to child molesters, or paedophiles in general? If the former, the study covers child molesters stupid enough to get caught, and willing to participate in this kind of study. If the later, the study covers paedophiles stupid enough to get caught or tell people about there desires.

So the study says nothing other than "stupid paedophiles are more likely to get caught."

Pedo behaviour is not a new phenomena. Up until the mid 1800's it was commonplace. It was only outlawed after members of parliment were found to be frequenting a brothel in the UK that specialised in providing children as sex servants. If you look through nature today, complex social animals such as gorillas and lions still have "normal" sexual contact between adults and minors. It's just deemed offensive by tv editors and we never get to see it.

Amongst the older generations in my country, when they were young if you were left handed some of the schooling saw this as "wrong" and forced you to write right handed, punished you if you used your left, etc. This would have led to writing, using a paint brush, sports etc. being more difficult, which can easily lead to poorer school results and ostracism; which in turn make it harder to function in society and allow you to shun social norms such as the whole taboo around this more easily.
I would imagine that this trait would be far less marked amongst the younger generation, but there are no good statistics on this so its harder to see.
