Your opinion is important to me, /jp/. Some company just called and I got a job interview today. I really need to get a job, but just the thought of going outside gets me sick. What do I do?

Doing my mom is not an option right now.

No one in /jp/ goes outside/.

Your mum

just go, it's not like a interview means you'll get hired for sure.
And contrary to what /jp/ believes, most of us will have to work sooner or later, because not all of us are eligible for government aid.
Do yourself a favor, the sooner you start, the mroe money you'll have for figures and hardware and all that kind of shit.

It's important that you go to interviews even if you don't get the job. Say hi to a 3D loli for me, will you?

I don't care about their opinion.

Great thing I learned about jobs is that you can always just quit them if they suck. Might as well. You probably won't get hired anyway.

Actually going out will make you enjoy your roneryness even more, not to mention that you get more money for your otaku needs.

Oh man, ok, going is the best option, I guess. I'll just try to get over my panic attack first. Anyway, thank you guys.

Good luck. Just be easy.
And hey, at least you got a call back. Most of us probably couldn't even get that.

The only advice I can give you is to think of yourself as superior to the people you're talking with.
Find something, anything, that makes you better than them, and hold to it like a comforter.
As long as you think of them as below you there's no reason to be nervous when talking to them - even if for some reason they won't get a good impression of you, why should you care, you're better than them anyway.
It's not exactly healthy, but it helped me deal with social anxiety well enough to get trough job interviews(and actually get a job) twice.
Good luck.

You'll actually have a bit less money since you have to pay for haircut, gas, etc, and you probably won't get hired.

You shouldn't try to prove anything for others though. When you feel you need their consent for your imagined superiority then you end up caring about your "image", which leads to you whoring yourself for the crowd. Although doing this might be fine for some, i think /jp/ers just see it as a pain. Also you'll start hanging up on social failure and feel bad about, which is not worth it.

>> No.6307514

good luck man.

you'll need. it job interviews have become even more brutal in this shitstain economy.

just remember this, it doesn't matter what your qualifications are, they already know them if they called you for an interview. What matters is ultimately whether they like you or not. So make a good impression on them.

of course this is hard for many of /jp/'s grumpy and cynical denizens though. Frankly, I'd rather stick my dick in a blender if it meant getting a job than continue on in this hellish and hopeless job hunt alone.

Just today I re-enrolled in college, I was lucky they still accepted me although the first semester has already started weeks ago.
I was surprised at how decent I still was at interacting with people, regrettably I needed 4 hours to work up the courage to actually talk to someone.
So the only advice I can give you is, go well in advance to your job interview.
Tomorrow I'll have to start going to classes again, it's an absolutely nerve-wrecking time for me.
I wish I could go back to being a NEET.

I have job interviews with UBS Japan and JP Morgan coming up.

I can't compete with all these normal people who have lives to talk about at the inteview. ;_;

What sucks is that college is the easy part.
