Making new models and textures for the characters and animating poses takes a lot longer than just drawing them. Development progress for this thing is slow enough as it is. It doesn't even look better than hand drawn sprites.

Looks awesome, I enjoy 3d cell-shaded art and looking at the previews it fits it will. Retro pixelated sprites for the dungeon crawler aspect and cell shade for the other parts. At least it won't turn into another generic animu style H-game. Nothing bad with that, its just that if that's the way you want to illustrate it you're going to have to do it better than some of the existing monster rape games and that's a big boot to fill with gems like the Viper series and Taimin Asagi, Space prison battleship and space pirate sara.
