Should I watch the anime or read the VN?

The vn is way better, but there's A LOT of routes you have to do until you get to after story, which I consider the best part of the game.

It's really up to you. The anime got the gist of every route down pretty well, and even built upon a few in the process. I found the first season very boring though, After Story and the tomoyo ova (which was better in the vn) were the best parts of the anime in my opinion.

If you have a lot of time play the vn, it really did some peoples routes better, especially Misae.
