Despite not being a NEET, my life is pretty NEET-like except for the few hours I spend at university every weekday. The rest of my time is spent consuming media and studying (getting closer and closer to finishing RtK1!), so I guess my life is about as interesting as yours. That being said, I've been playing some Tales of Vesperia (the superior PS3 version this time) and Castlevania LoS (just finished it earlier today), been watching some J-dramas and catching up on a bunch of AKB-related shows.

I'm the exact opposite. Length is one of the most important deciding factors for me when I buy a game; the longer, the better. Considering that I'm generally very picky about the games I purchase and have an irrational hatred for shooters and their lack of originality, there isn't much for me to play this generation. That's why I make sure to buy games I can spend a lot of time on, and it's why I'm so obsessed with trophies.

The last shooter I played was Bioshock, and I enjoyed it. Why? Because it wasn't a generic piece of shit. But of course they had to follow it up with a carbon-copy sequel. Please note that I don't blame the developers for this, but the people who keep buying the same stuff over and over. Originality and revolutionary ideas are cast aside because you can get away with releasing the same game again and again. "But DHAF, I like these games!". Well, you SHOULDN'T. I hate multiplayer. It's usually just a tacked-on feature since, for some reason, every game nowadays "needs" a multiplayer mode, whether it makes sense in the context of the game or not. Either that, or it is used to give developers an excuse to create short singleplayer campaigns. But how can you blame them, it's not like the ADHD shooter crowd would appreciate an engaging story with interesting characters and plot twists. Most of the time, they don't bother with the single player mode at all.

Oh, to prevent this post from being entirely on-topic: What are your thoughts on the new RgG game that was announced at TGS, "Superior Aya"-guy? I'm still skeptical. When I first saw the teaser, it looked like some kind of survival horror zombie-shooting game to me (yes, I hate those too), but the 8-minute trailer they released later made it seem like all the elements that define the franchise (minigames, sub-stories, hostesses, etc.) are still there. I just hope it won't focus too much on shooting zombies.

It's certainly an interesting way to end the story (if it is indeed the end), that's for sure. Thankfully it still looks like standard RgG fare for the most part. I think the game's designer said that it wouldn't be the last game unless it doesn't sell well. He also said that he wants to keep making spin-offs and hinted that we might be seeing Kiryu in space in the next game. Personally, I don't like it. I have always loved the RgG franchise for its dramatic, realistic story telling, but now that they've included zombies and other supernatural stuff, it's going to be difficult to take it seriously.

Eh, I chuckled a few times but was too tired to really keep up with everything. You may not care for this first episode if you're watching it solely for Mai though, she was barely used at all. Aya on the other hand had a few lines (literally) in their comedy bits and presented topics for the guest.

I am! The first two episodes were really enjoyable and entertaining. Unfortunately, Yuko doesn't seem to get much screen time, but that's okay because Ishihara Satomi is cute too.

Speaking of cute, I watched the first episode of Maeda's drama yesterday and absolutely loved it. Acchan does a surprisingly great job as the robot Q10 (even her voice is spot-on) and the story is both interesting and heart-warming. It really reminded me why I love J-Drama so much and is definitely on the top of my list for this season.
