But the maids are among the best units of the entire game, and Motonari is a decent dungeon fighter at least.

Chinu has her thing, which is kind of sad, but you also get that marvelous footman/super counter, wich surely makes up for it.
With the right item you actually deal far more damage to everyone while they attack you, and because your unit is strong enough you survive without doubt.

Depends on your taste in genres, they differ some, especially on nitpicky mechanical stuff.
Otherwise equal.


Rance has a greater backstory however due to being part of a continuous series. but that really has little to do with Sengoku Rance as a stand alone title, so it's mostly just added background fluff.

Daibanchou has a decent fighting game though, Rance doesn't have that.
