Ever17 had an awesome plot of its own without throwing quantum physics/referencing Kant/etc at you every five lines. Minus in You's route, but her 3rd eye explanations and 4th dimension stuff had CG to go with it, making it a fun experience for the whole family.

Not to mention that Ever17 was mainly a game about the relations between the characters, and then about the situation, while 12RIVEN is more about plot itself, with characters playing secondary role. And there's no Tsugumi, or You. On Renmaru's side, Myuu is okay, Maina is boring as fuck, Yuyu is shit. Tango got the crap beaten out of him, so that's extra points.
Narumi's side has roughly nothing going for it, so far. Minus Ootemachi being cool from time to time. It's entertaining though, but the CPS is a shitty excuse for a deus ex machina.

This is just in: They just talked about RSD and made a swift reference to AIs, but my hopes of seeing a Sora-like character vanished a line latter.
