Eh, Remy's mouth on that one doesn't look right, nor does the face for that matter.

The pose and Gungnir effect are indeed fabulous, though. And a couple of people here do have it, it's a crapshoot whether they are lurking and give a fuck enough to talk about it though. All I've heard is that it's fucking huge, as in difficult to fit into some cabinets.

Griffon figures are usually really lovely but they seem to be.. same faced? Poses and expressions are often recycled and I like figures with unique poses. But I still can't wait for them to release some of my favorite Touhoues!!!

Depends on how big Cirno is.. and she's actually supposed to be short as hell. If she's about 4 feet in height (my estimate) then a 1/6 would be about 8 inches tall. Which is kind of average-sized, imo. Not notably big or small.

If you like them, go ahead and get them - the blank face look just isn't appealing to me. If they put some emotion in it, I think it might have made the model better.

And that's because Griffon's copypasta face incidentally happens to be what her face actually looks like, and so even though it's a sameface technically, for some reason it looks really quite lovely on her.

I'm heavily thinking about giving in and buying these poseable Reimu and Marisa figs. I have no idea how good they are, but the pics look fine, plus I like the idea of poseables since all my figs so far aren't poseable.

Anyone have these already? how are they?

I'm definitely not a fan of the figutto Reimu or Marisa. Their faces look off / slightly derped; the figma are way better. Maybe I'm just biased because I have the figma though; I'd need both to really compare them.

Figutto Sakuya actually looks pretty nice though, better than the figma.

Bad things? Nah, that's just competitors trying to talk shit to undermine them because they have no other way to fault them. Someone from /toy/ emailed Yokattaweb asking why they were charging so much more than Otacute for some things yet had a slogan that they'd beat any price, and Yokatta basically sent back a half-assed mail saying that they're the best middleman and that Otacute doesn't count since it's a retailer. Things like that. Truth is, that places like Jlist and Toylet rip people the fuck off on exclusives, basically as bad as Ebay Hong Kong scalpers in some aspects. Otacute only charges a small premium over the normal Japanese price. Whatever they're doing, they've either got some "connections" or use some items as loss-leaders (or maybe basically break-even) to get people looking around their store more.

Otacute's the best for exclusives (as long as they're stocked there that is) hands down.

Thing is, they DON'T let you cancel pre-orders under any circumstances, and you have to pay them within a week of the pre-order(s) being available. They also are reluctant to do returns on opened packages. For all these reasons and more they are called the Otacuza by /toy/. But as long as you're on their good side they are fine. Decent prices (still not as good as 1999 or Amiami, but then again nothing is) and most importantly they procure some various little things other stores won't/can't carry.

I've had maybe ten-ish orders with them now (with more to come) and everything's gone great. They don't charge an assload for shipping because they don't pack stuff in overly-huge boxes like Amiami, and one time when an order of mine got mixed up and returned to sender, they fixed the issue and sent it back to me along with another order for free. They also sometimes will give out random little freebies in their orders too.

Well, the Touhou figma/nendoroids were like, about $30-40 each when they first came out... but, they are limited-edition AND Japan-exclusive AND licensed to be officially sold at only four websites in the world.

So yeah, supply and demand really drives them through the roof over time, and hence middlemen take advantage of there being literally no way to get one, apart from a $100+ punch in the face from an Ebay scalper (at least for Reimu right now, it remains to be seen if the rest will be worth as much as her in a year).

Hence, you should pre-order that figma Aya up on Otacute right NOW, if you ever want to get one for a non-ridiculous price.

I ordered a Reimu Figutto! which had 1 left. But the order didn't come through and when I went back to re-order it was Sold Out / Temporarily.
Today I reordered it when it was back in stock again. There's a chance. But probably different for different figures. Don't know how old that one is and don't care really but that can say a lot of things too.
