Don't worry, I don't think many people on /jp/ will be mistaken for girls

Back when I was in college I was just unpacking my things from my walk back from class when my roommate and a friend walk in. Turns out they had walked behind me most of the way debating whether or not to call out to me. They couldn't tell if the person in front of them was me or just some strange girl and wanted to avoid the potentially awkward situation of, "Hey, sorry, thought you were some guy I know." I get called miss or ma'am by cashiers all the time too, but then they see the goatee and correct themselves.

I used to be mistaken for a young lady every time I

A: Had my back turned and had long hair
B: was seen from a moderate distance and had long hair
C: talked on the phone.

...true to accusation, I liked it and miss it. ...though once it led to me bicycling to a stranger's front door and knocking on the door (I really didn't know what the car following me wanted, but I didn't want to take chances.)

I've always wanted to see the original. I'm right; this version IS funnier.

That's pretty ironic

But anyways, I don't think most of /jp/ want to be noticed by strangers in the first place.

I recently got a haircut, and when I went to my university, everyone I knew told me I looked like a little girl. This made me pretty happy actually.
I just wanted to share it with you all.

Nope, I'm like Misaki from Welcome to the NHK! and am just too in love with NEET culture for some reason, even though I'm not one myself.

Not really, but I genuinely feel many of them to be very huggable, awkward shy people that just need some love and kindness in their lives. I just want to help people who like Touhou and visual novels be happy, and am just really drawn to the culture.

I just read Cannon Sensei yesterday and am surprisingly inspired by the bit about motivation to be an ero-doujin artist, and really related to that. While not ero-doujin, I also really want to get involved in producing doujin, but don't have time for it at the moment. But yes, NEETdom has always been something that seemed attractive not because I'm lazy, but because I really want to be able to pursue my doujin drawing hobbies.

Ehe, thanks!

A character in the manga commented that most doujin artists often have the attitude of "this is just temporary until I get out of it and move onto commercialized manga", especially ero artists, but I really am most interested in doujins themselves and the freedom in creativity non-commercialized works of love offer.

Ara ara, what was this thread originally supposed to be about, anyways?
