Youkai are making jokes about eating people ALL THE TIME, since it's a truth but not something that actually happen. Alice don't feel the need of eating or drinking anything actually, since she is a magician. She probably just eat and drink like a human to fit better with them or just because it's "fun". She also has great relationships with humans and is considered one among them very often. After all, she was human once.
