Thing is, we don't have a single proper VN developement orginization in the entire western world.
The KS team is the closest thing to it and they are a bunch of young teen girls and also highly disorganized.
Now, Japan makes shit as well, in fact, they make more shit than us because they make more of all of it, so they are in fact full of shit, everywhere.
But considering how they have proper VN developement orginizations wheras we don't, you can bet that it will take quite some time until the we pop out something of relative quality.

YMK threads are rare, so I don't even see the problem, and the thing is that there aren't much to discuss about YMK other than comparing the heroines, and that's usually resolved through almost copypasta repetetative like posting from previous threads with the exact same topic, and if one was from /jp/ then one would have already read or seen those threads.
But it's really not much of an issue, the threads are fairly rare and most are fairly ok.

Then there's Umineko, Umineko was entirely ok up until the anime started, when the anime started there was a huge influx of /a/ and the speed of the entire board went up.
Then they dominated the board with multiple topics (users from fast board never learn to condense their threads, because on fast boards they die within minutes anyway), with Umineko threads everywhere, only to discuss topics that have already been discussed to death.
But yet again, that time is more or less over, Umineko is yet again kind of ok, and now there are only a reasonable amount of them, and they are ok now.


Rance was a tough one however, /jp/ truly embraced it, it could really be/have been /jp/'s most loved game, with never ending threads about it for about a one year time discussing every part of it to death, over and over again, Rance is loved.
But then, after that year, it was as if all of other of 4chan found out about it simultaneously or something, after /jp/ had already discussed everything about it to death.
And the major influx from all the other boards really struck /jp/ hard.

But now yet again, Rance threads can once again be had without much trouble, but they are also rare now, because everyone have once again played it to death.

Same for YMK, add to this that it kinds of pales compared to some other recently translated VNs.

TM always got that kind of mixed reception.

And the fanbase of Umineko as it was during the first few episodes and as it is now is completely different, right now the Umineko fanbase only come to /jp/ for Umineko and nothing else, most old fans either moved on or don't participate in the overall faggotry of these threads.

Yume Miru Kusuri really isn't that great. Its art is above average for the most part, but the anatomy is lanky and the artist is bad at faces. The music is generic, but the OP/ED is alright.
The story is utterly generic and the pacing is schizophrenic.
The characters are enjoyable for the most part but their development seems to turn on and off at a moments notice. Rather bad writing.

For many reasons my friend. Stop and take a look at the situation carefully.
-It costs no money to market here.
-People can't directly tell you're marketing. That makes it more appealing to them.
-You know the audience here is already interested in the type of product.
-If you make a product, you want to sell it and make money. The internet is a legitimate form of advertising. In fact, these days some audiences are best reached through the internet. 4chan being something of a hub of internet culture among young people, and allowing posting without registration or threat of constant moderation, means someone trying to market a game would be stupid NOT to market on here.
-Also remember people put great amount of time and effort into doing stupider things than that on 4chan. Making money is an even greater motivation than trying for a GET, and yet plenty of people will happily throw their evening away just for that.

That all said, KS is free. By definition it can't be viral marketing in this case because there is nothing being marketed.

I would respect KS more if it didn't try to feel so Japanese.
