There was some browser game about Kaguya flipping over a table. I can't remember the exact name, but it pretty much matches your description of a soul-sucking autistic game

As far as I remember, you literally just kept the window open and the page counted how many times Kaguya had flipped the table over. Then you could allocate stat points so she could flip the table faster, or harder, letting you get more "xp" per table flip

A Counter Strike source ultra-custom map would be pretty damn fun. Touhou-Strike.

The only problem would be there would basically be only 8 Touhous to choose from, although I guess you could script in some ways to change models. Or you could have variations in the maps with different casts.. Yakumo versus Eientei, Hakurei versus Moriya etc.

Instead of guns you have hand models shooting out danmaku. You'd want them to be unique to each Touhou though so maybe a TF2 mod would be better suited.. however a Touhou Strike where they simply used the normal guns would actually be not too difficult.

How about that idea I had a long time ago where you're competitive pattern-making combined with movement?

You'd activate different patterns depending on what you're doing and what spell card you're using.

Balance would be needed to prevent the "unavoidable" thing.

Can't till/if the translation for Super Touhou Wars comes out.

It was pretty awesome even without it.

I've always wanted a Sim Gensokyo. It has so many unique problems and concerns. And if anything got too out of line it would spark an Incident and Reimu would have to go trash shit until it was resolved, leaving you with the repair bills and the crying, beaten little girls.
