It really irritates me that no matter how much I mash my button, I can never ever attack first upon getting up or upon my opponent getting up. And yet no matter what all attacks seem to come back as a counter rather than clash.

Im glad that I did get a few LA's off of you but I really screwed up the following combo thats supposed to come with it. Since Shiki's LA doesnt do much damage on its own you have to almost ALWAYS follow up with a combo that kicks it up to damage that surpassess his AD so that its actually useful,hell its probably his best option in the game(damage wise) if you ask me.

The only problem is the follow up takes some SRYS timing. Best way to use the LA:

5C 2B JB JC JB JC Air Throw

I can skip the 2B to make it a LOT easier and miss around 500 damage points,which is what I was doing before untill I decided that every hit counts.

Haha, don't be so hard on yourself. The game was laggy, so I wouldn't worry too much about missing anything that required really strict timing.
And at the very least, you learned rather quickly not to be too predictable with your jump-ins. Once you started mixing up your jump-ins with empty jumps, then it became a lot harder to turn the tables with just a shield. It was fun.
