It's certainly one of the reasons... or I would like to say so but quite frankly the vast majority of the Touhou threads are garbage. Then again, the same goes for any other kind of thread.
I think that if you don't have anything worthwhile to post you shouldn't be posting it at all. And surely not create a dozen shitty threads because you have nothing better to do. Lately this has been getting out of hand.

Only really /jp/ is this open minded regarding pornographic works. Most/all other Touhou communities usually don't welcome 18+ material to be posted or discussed. Personally I'm kinda neutral towards the pornography though admittedly I prefer a worksafe environment. It's interesting/encouraging to hear that the japanese aren't all the obsessed with Touhou only because of the porn. Last time we had a "how popular is Touhou?" discussion some anon posted that only 17% out of all Touhou doujinshi are nsfw, and that felt nice.

I enjoyed Tsukihime a lot too, and there are occasionally threads about it here.

F/SN is almost always discussed, and every once in a while, I learn about small quirks I hadn't known before, so that's worthwhile for me.

Plus, /jp/ loves Ryougi, so any and all Kara no Kyoukai threads are great for me.

/jp/ also plays Melty Blood but not incredibly anal about it.

I don't think there's a better source of Type-Moon related news than /jp/ (or /a/, really), but that's why I frequent both boards.

I'm here for everything the board was created for. And I used to like the regular posters, before /a/utism flooded in. If I just wanted Touhou, I'd actually be going to /tg/, since they're less hit by this bullshit.

Sometimes offtopic metathreads are the best thing /jp/ has to offer. We have not much new things to discuss here so we are always kind of bored and dicking around.

Metathreads ae /jp/s alternative to conversations that normal people have. Coming together, talking about our lives, hobbies and other random stuff and feeling like we are a community not some random faggots.
