I think it took roughly.. 1000 out of my 1040ish health when I was hit by the spinning attack while armored with a party of four. He will one shot you if your armor broke though, or if you aren't full health.

We're split. Everyone originally intended to go east but major stability issues have forced some people to reconsider. I made a character on East but in addition to the problems the server was having I grew unhappy with how I customized my character. Playing dress up is very important, so I remade her on West with the same name. I live on the west coast anyway.

East will be fixed soon enough (if it hasn't been already). So feel free to choose whichever if you haven't started yet.

-Keep moving, strafing at a safe distance is the best.
-If he kneels back, he's going for the overhead smash, strafe around him, 3-4hit combo on his back, sprint to distance.
-If he prepares the hammer at mid height, he's going for the whirlwind, sprint out of it, then back and do a 2 hit combo, get distance.

Just soloed the Kobold Chief. That fight took forever. Any tips on how to fight him? I pretty much just waited for him to only do his arm smash attacks. Safest time to hit him seems to be right after he does the right arm smash left arm smash combo. All the other times seem to be a bit risky though.

Well, if you're using Lann, don't bother closing in on him after an attack. Just start attacking as soon as it's safe, even if you're out of range. The idea is to get to Thousand Needles as soon as possible. I've been doing this for a while, and the only time I get hit is when he starts spamming his weaker, faster kick.

You can get 1 normal attack when he ducks down, 2 when he ducks and gets back up, and 1 normal when he does 1 ground punch. That backhand he does is too fast though. I'm thinking of trying to get a full 4 swing smash when he ducks then does the 2 back fists, but I don't want to waste 30 min.

Cleared all the battles in the first two episodes, hit level 22, and I'm just waiting for more content.
My Fiona's currently wearing kobold winter hat, crimson mercenary tunic (level 3) and the rest is Wind Crust set, as most of the other armors with decent stats (crimson rage & northern pike) look horrendous. I'm hoping to get my hands on Sharpshooters or Blood Pince set once they are released.

Is hero mode available in the beta? It seems level 25 can be reached if you do all the quests and such. How does it make itself notably more difficult than just hard mode? And what are the benefits to doing it?

Put all sorts of effort into getting the Sweetie Bear set, only to end up with what appears to be 3 different colors of the main pieces. At least I can't equip them yet to see how badly they match. ;_;

Use a program called proxyfier, you can google for a US SOCKS 5 proxy and set a rule in it only to proxy the C:\Nexon\Vindictus\en-US\vindictus.exe
I recommend that you then you launch the game from the exe instead of from your browser. You can even turn off the proxy rule after authentication since it only checks for an US IP on login, though I believe there's a chance the program will continue to proxy through all the session.
