Cheaply made Chinese swords based on traditional Japanese designs maybe, but not true, Japanese-made shinken.

If you're an Iaidoka, a functional sword would be used for tameshigiri, while a blunted, non-steel practice "sword" (iaito) would be used for kata.

In Kendo, a bokuto is used for kata, although sometimes, higher ranking Kendoka will use iaito or shinken.

bokken > steel sword

Not nearly as weeabooish and can be justified for strenght training. Just try doing 100 one handed swings with one of the sturdier ones. Got one that weighs few kilos and yea that doesn't sound much but since the weight is mostly towards the tip it's damn hard to swing.

While it might be true that you know more than the average weeaboo (which probably isn't much in the first place), using swords, and it is debatable how much Kendo and Iaido have in common with the actual historical use of swords during the feudal age, alone does most definitely not make you an expert on the subject.

Im looking for a katana sword, it cant be a bokken (thats japanese for a wooden sword) or any girl style. It has to have a shinken (thats japanese for a live blade) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii [cute]). And it would be nice if it came with matching sheath (WITH decoration). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of steel, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (korea) or whatever. I have found a katana similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was not a shinken, and i dont want my sword to touch my other things (it can get dull and i would not like that, plus a shinken looks more kawaii)
