You probably need to set up an exception in your firewall. Copy the entire IP string and port to clipboard before using the join game option (5th from the top option). Make sure you're on Soku 1.10 as well. If all else fails, you'll have to play with the Hamachi network guys instead of here in /jp/.

as far as tips go, I recommend sticking with two or three characters at most. And blocking on wakeup is a must too, if you don't do that you'll just be wide open for another combo. Also, it doesn't hurt to look at the wiki for some combos and gameplay mechanics.

As you probably noticed, I don't know any combos. I don't like the idea of copying existing ones and using them over and over again in a single match. I'd rather learn them on my own.
I was blocking on a lot of those wakeups, which pissed me off when I got hit, or it stopped blocking half-way through a dial a. I blame my controller for that - it has a loose joystick.

level 3 earth and sky dragon kick is fucking amazing. This is the bone of my spell cards. The 2 card punch special easily connects with 66c, for an easy punisher for people who let down their guard from afar. Her 5 card bro fist has super armor frames, and if a heavy connects with you after you cast it, you are sure to catch them with it. Her 4 swirly is a delicious reversal that grazes on the way up. I could name why the other cards have their own awesome, but this is basically the cards I can't live without.

There's a thing in fighting games called buffering. You do the commands while a move is still happening so the next move comes out guaranteed. Really, what's wrong with being called a sandbagger? In actuality, it's really a term of endearment. Well, at least IMO. If you're sandbagging, it's an acknowledgment that you're a better player, but you're not playing at the level you usually do. It's nothing to really get up at arms about, just take as "you're the better player".

Sorry I had to leave for class. I'll throw out some descriptions for how I would use the specials and why I find them beneficial.

Her 2 card swirly is still a reversal, but I rather take the punches as my low cost card because of the reason I stated before. Her 3 card chi ball does shitty damage, but honestly is incredibly easy to use. It can be linked into safely by a bunch of combos, and I believe it carries them some distance towards the corner. That's pretty useful if you just want to lay out some damage, but like I said, her 3 card kick is shit awesome because it's air unblockable, cannot be blocked low, and drains a full orb on wrong block for the stomp. If you manage to execute the special in front of most people while they're down to one orb, you're almost guaranteed to land the kick. Her first bro fist is a very nice in catching people in the air off guard, I'd use it just like I use her default 623, but this is one of those cards that do too little damage for it's cost. I really don't care what anyone says, the slow moving 4 card wave shit is sick. It's perfect for laying down pressure, and makes your opponent play completely defensively when used right. It's also easy to combo with, couple of j5a and j8as and you got yourself the damage you wanted from the card.
Her 5 card chi ball connects seemlessly with 2a, granting you an incredibly easy 3-4k damage. It also connects with a bunch of other things, and is extremely versatile, you'd want this card if you had the intention of using cards for more then just damage. Super sayan is sexy, but shitty. Doesn't last long enough. Finally, her sexy pose chi explosion is another card that has great range and link into a number of things, including a cross up with j2a. Also air unblockable.

Her specials have "low" damage because of how easily they are linked into, except for her kick, that shit still does heavy damage, even when combo'd into.

Some advice, you shouldn't use perfect maid randomly, I'd say it should be treated more as a reversal, although, I'm no expert on Sakuya. And for Alice, I really have no idea what to do with her either. Oh yeah, whenever you aren't attacking your opponent, you should always be blocking.

Eh, I don't think I have much room to complain about a fight being dull if I'm the one getting beat up, since it means I can still learn from it. I haven't fought enough Okuu to really know how to do it effectively.

When I really focus on zoning and such my Alice seems to fare much better, but that was undone quite easily. I don't know if it's because you pick up on my playstyle or because of my sloppiness.

As for blocking.. Most of the time I try to, but I let down my guard when I go to do anything else, so you were able to catch me 80% of the time due to my own slowness or bad judgement on when to act.

GGs Sitha. You should be a bit more careful when I have reversals at hand, especially those matches I played Yuyuko you kept falling for them a bit too often.

Can't say much about playing Sanae but I noticed you almost never use her 66C. It's pretty handy, since it can't be blocked in the air and you can combo its second hit into that 4card spell Miracle "Night of the Supernova Storm". Just don't overdo it like me.

Ah yeah, I have an odd mental block when it comes to playing against Yuyuko, usually I do keep my eye on the enemy deck but for some reason against Yuyuko I keep ignoring it completely. 66C is rather punishable on block iirc, and you really don't float around in the air that much like I do. Also, it quite loses if you just jump and 5C with Cirno so that also made me a bit hesitant with it

I did play some other characters besides Cirno, and I think there would've been plenty of opportunities for you to use it against them. With Cirno I tend to stay more on the ground though.

About Cirnos 5C, she's left pretty vulnerable after it so I'll cancel it almost always into something else, usually either one of her melee specials. You could try baiting those melee specials and hitting me with bullets instead. Or a quick graze attack before I'll have the chance to cancel my 5C. I don't have any proper experience about playing against Cirno since nobody around here seems to use her, so I wouldn't know what works best against her.

Mmm, well when it comes to Ice Sword I do try to forwards BE the last hit, but I have crap reflexes so I quite often end up being too hasty and inputting it too early, resulting in me getting hit by it or simply just being too slow and failing the BE, and if I think you are going to hjc I attempt to dash->hjc->j.2A but even with that I often try to attack early and get hit by the last residue of the 5C. Though when it comes to 5C -> Ice car, I just block since I can't really figure out a better solution, it does recover fast enough for forwards BE to be vulnerable after it right?
But the problem is that with Sanae, I'm way too used to starting all my pressure by jumping and the initiating whatever I do, and this leaves you quite enough time to hit me with 5C before my attacks come out, so it's just that I should start learning to lay cover on the ground, before I jump and then jump up and continue from there.

For some reason, I changed my graphic card, and now most of the time, at the end of the games, the framerate of the game drops and my screen freezes for like 20 seconds. I press escape to avoid that. The match where I pressed escape during the first round was a mistake, I'm sorry about that.

There shouldn't be anything that'd cause problems like that no matter how the match is ended, unless maybe if it's a problem about accessing the hard drive to save new cards and possible replays. Oh I know exactly what my problems are, I just cant quite practice them or do much about it.
Its basically me wrestling with the system and losing.

My timing on blocking is just awful to begin with. I try to graze melee, and I know that doesn't work. (Un-coincidentally Okuu's fucking rocket dive gets me EVERY TIME.)

Also, I have no idea how to get out of a corner once i'm there.. I just have to pray I get one of those Iku-reversal cards or they let up for a couple seconds.. Which then I usually get slammed back into the corner because I try to fly up and away.

Its just a big cluster of bad habits and inexperience, and the fact theres little to no other inexperienced players for me to practice with and get better. (I dont learn well from getting trapped in a corner all day, despite everybody telling me its the best way to learn.)
