I think you're oversimplifying things by saying the only potential buyers affected by this decision are small group of "fanatics/stalkers".
Personally I couldn't name more than two or three VAs on a good day but I recognise a good "performance" when I hear it so I still think this outcome is controversial. And for more reasons than just missing voiced dialogue.

Correct. Even if they removed the calls it would most likely be possible to automate probably more than half of the insertion process. Because the engine is the same it'd be pretty easy to generate some mappings based on who is talking at what line in the Japanese script then compare it to the English script (you would need to take into consideration the new lines from wordwrapping but that wouldn't be hard to match up in most cases). If this were ported to BGI, it'd be a lot more work because you have no idea what they could have changed.

No H in the demo. It only includes the first base camp sequence, so if I'm correct (and honestly, we did all the base camp scripts character by character and not round 01, round 02, etc. so it's hard to tell), the first sexytime scripts are in the second base camp phase, which is right after where the demo ends.

You do, however, get to try out the battle system, and Rinrin will tell you she's an adult all night if you want.

I doubt Nexton would allow it to be released in any other way considering their current stance.

How to get voices:
1) Install MG version of the game.
2) Rename lcsebody to lcsebody1 and lcsebody.lst to lcsebody1.lst
3) Get the Japanese game. (http://sukebei.nyaatorrents.org/?page=torrentinfo&tid=5510))
4) Install, copy over SoundPackSEVo, SoundPackSEVo.lst and lcsebody.exe from the Japanese game to the MG game directory.

6) Enjoy the voiced game after some error boxes. Sometimes you have to delete your sav folder for it to work. It's very buggy because it's the Japanese version of the exe. The MG exe is packed so it'd be a pain to turn on the voices. Don't worry, I'll do it for the full game if noone else does it.

Re: Credit/debit cards, as has been said before, Paypal won't work with suppliers of adult materials. The best option is to get a prepaid debit card and use one of those.

Re: Hard copies, we're looking into ways to expand that, hopefully some good news in early 2011. I know what I'd like to see is, for games where we don't run discs for various reasons, is to make some kind of gift card system where you could go to a con, buy a CD case with a download code inside, and then go home and get the game.

As far as Koihime and hard copies....it's got pretty loli looking characters (who are all over 18, of course). That makes it hard to press in the US and even harder to import/ship.

I found a way to get the voices back into the game without changing anything in the game system. It's pretty cheap, but works perfectly well. If mangagamer don't pull any weird shit I can do the same for the full game when it comes out. Full voice patch within a few hours of the release should be possible.

For the full game you will have to get the 1.8 gb voice file from the japanese game anyway, so there won't be any sound files in the patch, only a few scripts. Might pack those, but having some 100 more files in the game folder won't kill you.
