As of right now, it's possible to upload both MP3 and OGG files, but keep in mind OGG files do not properly display their tags on the site. This means that it'd be best to remove any Japanese from an OGG file before uploading it, if possible.

As always, feedback is always appreciated. Post any error messages you get, post opinions, suggestions, whatever.

Main server holds 7 users. There are a number of relay servers up that automatically redirect you when the main server is full, so don't worry. If you are not automatically redirected, you can manually connect to them. There's a page on the main site to check what relays are currently up.

Right, guys.
I realize you like the song and all, but chill down a bit on requesting it. There are others who don't like it and want to give other songs a chance as well. There are thousands of songs in our library, some of which get played once or twice and completely forgotten by their uploaders and anyone else.

Regardless of what song it is, good or bad, if it's over played people will get tired of it. By requesting the same song over and over, you get people who normally wouldn't have minded it to get annoyed when they see it come up.

The limit for how long you could request the same song again was 20 hours before. It's currently at 5 hours, but maybe it'd be a good idea for us to raise the limit up again.

About the songs that are uploaded without tags. I can see that (at least some of) those songs were NOT tagged by my script. Am I being trolled, or did people expect the old system were they could fill in the tags them self? If that's the case, I could add an option where people can do that again.
Actually, I didn't know that script was working correctly...

I've never been one that was Nazi over deleting anything and everything non-/jp/ relate unless it's requested a lot or just a dumb song. We don't plan on making a script for bulk uploads, simply because we still run on limited hard drive space. We realize it may be annoying, but it's to keep people from mass uploading songs that they'll only request once and forget about, leaving a large section of the library unused and forgotten.

We still have limited hard drive space we're working on. We want people to upload stuff they really want to hear. You have less incentive to do so if you can just click your mouse once and have your entire library online.

I assume you're talking about the sampling from mainstream rap. Fair enough I guess, but it's the juxtaposition of shallow, commercial lyrics with the more chaotic elements that makes a lot of electronic music in this vein unique and enjoyable.

Friendly reminder to just take it easy.

This same argument happened like around thread 15 or something. I don't particularly care for most non-/jp/ songs, but some people do, so I treat them like any other song I don't like and just ignore them or mute my player for a bit.

If we have a long block of non-/jp/ songs, I remove them, but we haven't had that problem in quite some time. Non-/jp/ related songs stand out because they're smack in the middle of /jp/ related songs. I don't mind having one play so long as it isn't requested a lot and they're not playing near each other.

That's not to say I let every single non /jp/ related song play either. Some of you may not notice that sometimes I do pull songs off the queue and delete some songs. If I see something that's obviously just uploaded for the purpose of trying to make people mad, like Eminem or something, I'll usually remove it before it plays (if I'm listening at the time and not busy with other things).

But, as I said, we don't have as much of a problem with this kind of stuff that we used to long ago

If things get out of hand, I'll crack down on them, but I don't hear them play often enough to be a major problem. The stream is still /jp/ related a vast majority of the time.

It's your station, guys. We keep it up and moderate it, but you're the heart of the stream. We prefer having it your way, rather than us playing a playlist of our own songs for you guys.

We used to have this problem before, I forgot what Pyonta did to fix it, so I can't fix it myself. SAM just being grumpy right now and stopping midway in songs. It's not even nonresponsive, just STOPS PLAYING the current song and won't play anymore, forcing me to restart it. I put in a filler song up before the current playing song.
