i have a copy of win7 running on a 9 year old gateway prefab pc that i dug out of the basement and i'm pretty sure there's 256MB of ram or less on the thing

All the Touhou (except the fighters) games work flawlessly with Linux.

Yes, with a few caveats.
- SWR/Hisoutensoku do not play on NVIDIA due to a driver bug. Sucks.
- Some of the later games need one of the Microsoft DLLs.
- To me, Phantasmagoria likes to freeze up a bit too much. Haven't tried it in a while though.
- Japanese locale needed.

is it possible to emulate the PC-98 touhou games on the wii?
There are emulators available, but the closest i've got to running touhou is getting the zunsoft logo up on the first two, and then after that I get a red error message in moon with the word STOP in it a few times.

I don't know enough about ACTA but maybe under ACTA it could be considered copyright infringement because it reimplements Windows APIs (even though it's a clean room implementation created from scratch).
Actually it's pretty much guaranteed to violate lots of MS patents already but they already have antitrust up their ass so they haven't done anything. Yet. but I doubt ACTA would change anything in that regard.
