As of right now, it's possible to upload both MP3 and OGG files, but keep in mind OGG files do not properly display their tags on the site. This means that it'd be best to remove any Japanese from an OGG file before uploading it, if possible.

As always, feedback is always appreciated. Post any error messages you get, post opinions, suggestions, whatever.

Main server holds 7 users. There are a number of relay servers up that automatically redirect you when the main server is full, so don't worry. If you are not automatically redirected, you can manually connect to them. There's a page on the main site to check what relays are currently up.

Why is it that joke songs are always so popular? I mean, it's better than having a good song overplayed to the point that you don't like it anymore, but do you really enjoy listening to someone auto-tuning the same phrase over and over again into the beat of the original song? Is it that appealing?

I dunno. I'm guilty of putting a joke song or two up there, but I request them once just for the hell of requesting it. It may have given some people laughs when they first heard it, it may have not, but either way it was only played once just to lighten up the mood.

Do you guys put joke songs on your MP3 players?

Maybe some people really do like joke songs and have them on their MP3 players. Maybe they want to listen to them more than normal songs. Some people have strange taste.

Guess it's fine so long as the station remains mostly music with a "daily dose" thrown in at random.

I'm usually not a fan of the songs that are 10+ minutes long.
Especially the one that's on now [DJ Flandere - Return of the Vuvuzela] which is 38 minutes of pure unadulterated shit. I think I would rather listen to 38 minutes of someone blowing an actual vuvuzela than this song.

I uploaded the Fairy Wars soundtrack, which surprisingly wasn't uploaded already (or I suck at searching the database).

It's not fake named. I uploaded it and worked fine just until a few days ago. Now it's a different song (this one with the rock guitars).
It's happened to a few other songs I uploaded too, they've been replaced permanently by others; it's the same wrong song playing, and the length shows wrong on the library.

It amuses me that almost all of the songs I have aren't in the database. I guess I know what to do with my free time now.

I'm pretty sure that Konata's Healing Spring in the playlist by anonymous is not a song. At 9 minutes it's probably a drama/commentary track

Pretty sure if you connect to the main site you get redirected to a relay. This is to save lag on the station overall. The slots on the main station are reserved for relay servers.

If you have latency issues with some relays, you could always try others. My relay is hosted in New Jersey, if you really want to know. Pretty sure most of the relays are spread pretty well apart from each other.

The main server is hosted in The Netherlands, by the way.

Vote skip needs 5 votes to work. It used to be 8, but we figured the number was too high so lowered it down to 5. For the most part, it does seem to do its job on long songs people don't like. Short songs are a bit of a different story.


Also, I'm loading up the real version of Super Special for you and changing the tags on the current song so this doesn't happen again. I'll let you know if I run into any irregularities.

The actual song was Crisis Reversed, which I know is from Continuum Shift. I still haven't gotten the game yet because I've yet to complete the True Ending of part 1 (stupid "you need to lose to every opponent at least once, but we won't tell you who you haven't lost to yet, so have fun doing the ENTIRE story mode again for this character looking for the fight you need to lose at!)

I assumed Daisuke Ishiwatari composed it, but I'd like some confirmation. For now I labled it as his song, but if someone would like to correct me, feel free to do so and I'll revise the tags. The song was tagged wrong, so I have no information on it other than the fact that it was uploaded as "Terumi Unlimited" which I assume is unlimited Hazama's theme. I'll download the file later and compare them.

Oh, right, got too into how annoyed I was at not being able to get the True End of Blazblue to elaborate a bit.

The Super Special mixup wasn't caused by the bug that SAM has when the uploader leaves their song on the upload page for a while without naming it.

It's just a case of someone mixing their tags up for the file itself when uploading. The actual tags for Super Special were attached to the file, so I had to manually add in the correct tags.


On a different note, pic unrelated, but it's what they did to my main character.

Well, the problem is I checked the guide after I already finished like 5 characters, and was wondering what I was missing for 100%. I figured it was the loss thing, but was hoping it wasn't. I checked, and indeed it my assumptions were correct. These problems should all be solved now, c'ept for one thing. If there's a \ in the tags and you decide to write them yourself, it'll delete everything behind it. I actually do think there's a way to normalize it. SAM has many options when it comes to messing with volumes and song transitions. I'll look into it myself a bit and see if Pyonta has ever seen such an option.

About half a month ago we used to have crossfading for songs, but there were a lot of complaints about how songs would get cut off 5+ seconds early to fade into the next, so we turned it off. I did eventually find the cause of that, and it wasn't all crossfadings fault. Perhaps crossfading will make the transition a bit smoother. Of course, this is if I don't find an option to normalize.
