>> No.6039582

>>6039571
A revolver takes much less training, just aim and pull the trigger. No safety system, either. Always keep a revolver holstered, that is the "safety" for the gun. Don't reach into a desk drawer, or under a seat for an unholstered revolver, you may get a bad surprise if you grab the trigger by accident. No training on clearing a jam is needed (as is with an auto), just pull the trigger again. Revolvers tended to offer higher power levels, specifically the .357 Magnum vs. the 9 mm. The .40 S&W auto is catching on, and it closes the power gap -- at the cost of less rounds in the gun.

And reliability depends on the revolver, S&W model 10 is extremely reliable but so is a glock 17.

Revolvers are less reliable and have dozens of tiny moving parts inside of them. Several factors must be met just right in order for a revolver to function properly, most of them involving the exact position of the cylinder. If its too far off to the left or right, the bullet will literally crash into the barrel instead of going through it. Cylinder gap must me line up right, cylinder timing, etc etc etc. Revolvers are immensely complex compared to autoloading pistols. I with BOOF was here to explain in more detail, as he is a gunsmith.

The best 9mm load penetrated to 13.25 inches and expanded to 0.70 inches.
The other .357 Mag load overpenetrated to 19 inches (Not acceptable due to risk of it exiting your target and killing an innocent person behind them in the distance) and only expanded to .56.

Based on this info, the 9mm loads tested have better terminal ballistics than the .357 Mag loads tested.

Usually, when I see blowed-up, pics or hear stories of blowed-up revolvers, it's either the result of: dumb modifications, dumb loads, improper maintenance, or it was because someone was dumb enough to buy a Taurus. I.E. from doing stupid shit.

However, when I see blowed-up pics or hear stories of blowed-up semi-autos, it's because they just randomly blewed-up one day from regular use...

>> No.6040103

>>6040058
As an irradiation weapon, yeah. But fusion has a far better explosive yield, while fission produces much less radioactive waste as a power source. Makes perfect sense considering the Moriya shrine gave her that ability so she could provide nuclear energy, but much less effective as a quick-kill explosive weapon. And if she was maintaining a strong fission reaction the entire fight, even if none of her energy projectiles hit the player they'd still die from the radiation carried by byproduct particulates they'd inhaled.
