I went back home to LA and went to community college. I didn't actually pass anything in Houston because I couldn't sleep a wink, so I had to start over. UH is a really nice school in some ways. The actual dorm I stayed in was pretty sweet. I just couldn't deal with those freshmen; the ones on my floor were the worst possible people.

The dorms are overpriced and typically shitty. Staying in a newer dorm now, but it's priced at around $2K a semester, which is terrible given the small rooms. That's probably just my shut-in speaking, but my point still stands.

The administration here is terrible too. I'm still waiting on financial aid, even though I completed everything in March.

In fact, the only good thing about this place is the Honors college. It's pretty damn good.

This was my room last year. Not all of my stuff was on display partly because it was a really tiny room, partly because I took these like a week before moving out and hard started packing.

It's also dim because I usually kept the bright fluorescent light off in favor of some nice ambient orange ones. It's not nearly as dim in person, just cellphone camera QUALITY.

Here was the crappiest (least decked) part of the room, with the ugly light on. That HDTV also functions as another computer monitor. Playing Touhou from my bed with a nice big TV at the foot of it = glory.

If there are any current or past Drexelfags here, I used to live in Towers dorm back in '03. It was actually one of the more desirable dorms at the time, but it was still pretty cramped and annoying. I was sick every 2 goddamned seconds, partially because my diet sucked, partially because it was dirty as fuck there, and mainly because my roommate bought a humidifier that became a mold spore dispenser because he never fucking cleaned it.

I had figs and shit but most everyone ripped on me for it, and girls were pretty much universally disinterested in being anywhere near my room.
