basically it's a bunch of guys playing as a bunch of girls based on a bullet hell game which makes 1 button for melee, and 2 buttons for range attacks along with 4 skill keys and uses a 20 card deck system to customize your perks, skills, and supers.
Speaking from experience, I don't understand how I stay up till 5 in the morning playing this but when anyone posts a id host I get on that shit regardless.
we have way too many pro tier here, all of them will rape your shit, and if they haven't perfected you every round, they are bound to use mother fucking okuu to kick your shit around.
Basically you have to be a sandbag for a while, story mode and CPU aren't fun since you play to fight other people's wacky custom style.
If you are lucky you can get into a room with another beginner and have fun knocking each other around attempting to get a spell card to hit.

I can't give you much advice because you don't seem to be fixed on a specific character, tho. Just remember that you are theoretically at a disadvantage when you are getting up, and that a correctly timed 5A from your opponent will beat a 5A from your part every time. That's obviously not the case due to human timing errors and (most of all) netplay lag, but just for you to know.

gg kos those melee trippan and guard crushan are looking good but i rather not bomb the spirits since that leaves you wide open during a combo, best throw them out for air coverage and if they graze into the air you can just smack them right down like you did my patchy.
i hate wake ups at least you can time it so melee works really well with komachi, so if anything i would lay off the stuff unless you prefer playing high then to all means i play better when im drunk.

It was more of a me not knowing how Youmu vs Okuu works, which meant that I ended up doing a lot of things that just couldn't override Okuu melee, it would have been better if I could've inputted 623 better but for some reason in the games against you I kept dropping it a lot which hasn't happened this much since I got this new keyboard. Good games Gitah! I really didn't mind if you kept using D. It was more of an experiment for myself to see how I play without the graze button. I find I'm unable to perform my normal strings, escape from corners and punish certain characters like Okuu at all. Normally I do okay with Komachi but I couldn't position myself for j.2a crossups at all. Strangely enough, my Sakuya didn't feel all that different haha. We were still pretty even most of those matches.

You must be the first Youmu player to stick with that alt. 236 that I've fought. It's pretty nice for zoning, but I myself am content with the B bullets for slow bullet cover, and pink circles have a nice potential, pressing with these is safer than with the shitty rekka.
Also, maybe you should stick with 5AAAA 214C 214B 214C as an all-around BNB. It's 2.3k+, corner or mid-screen, and only fails once in a while when done with a full range 5A. 623C combos are character specific, position specific, and a miss will leave you in a very bad position. 5AAAAA j5A j6A is a pretty nice combo if you want high damage in the corner, too.

Border escape. That pretty much kills every form of press if you know when to do it, and is often very hard to counter. As of my personal opinion, that also is what makes this game almost impossible to play seriously. It's like Tasofro is giving a middle finger to the concept of pressure.
For Reisen, I'm pretty sure that 236B can be BE'd. Try 2DD and 1DD BE, front dash BE is a pretty bad idea.
I also think that a simple 28 can escape tk'd j2A after 236B, but I'm not too sure. Try and experiment next time, but poking in Reisen press is really not the thing to do. Hi-jumps and BE's all the way.
As of Sakuya's, when I'm against one I BE on B bullets, but that can be countered. BE'ing on 6A is a 100% route to escape, I heard.

That depends. At a certain level of play it's more about learning the opponents habits and tendencies rather than adjusting to the fact that the opponent can potentially attempt to BE at every hit-confirm. Like in most fighting games it's a question of reflexes and experience; if you continue your imba block-string 5 seconds in after the opponent BEs then you're simply not playing _together_ with him/her. You should at least acknowledge his/hers presence by attempting to react appropriately.

Honestly I'd say that BEing requiers timing, it's not just an easy escape that wins you the game. A bad BE can end up hurting you more than a guard-crush. Most incidental guard-crushes end up scoring you shit damage, a bad BE on the other hand could very possibly win you a free combo. Hell, even a well timed BE can end up hurting if the opponent assumes correctly.

All I'm saying is that everything is relative when BEing; tasofro did nerf/balance it. I'm no pro, though. BE isn't all that essential when playing, at least in my experience the BE alarm doesn't beep all that often.

Why BE when you can load up on counters, bombs and reversals? For that matter, why load up on counters or bombs when most people are too shit to actually discourage you from simply high jumping out of everything they do?

Well, not in MY day it wasn't. Then again I was a latecomer and assdoof had quit by the time I showed up; I did get to play him once when he was sadfacesanae though and I see why, but the 4 after then had stayed pretty stable.

As of now, from the looks of things, Magister and Guy are the only real legendary super gods above everybody else since Shy, ZomB, and Dimbro all went the way of DFO with a few not-quite-as-notable others. A bunch of people seem to think they belong there but my elite 4 were a group that was hailed and revered by everybody else, and right now the number isn't quite as big. Youmu is amazing.

Just remember to high jump cancel all your bullets and throw bullets on your way back down. Use Youmu's C and 2C a lot with reflector into highjump cancel to speed it up. When Dial A comboing, use 5AAA into greensword for maximum damage. You can also abuse her 66A kicking into a runpast, greensword or hyper dragon punch. Make sure to take a crescent moon slash card or two so you can wakeup DP people who stand and poke over you.

It sure is. Go grab the savefile that unlocks all of the spellcards to save time. There are a lot of downright ridiculous spellcards cards that you can choose for most of the characters, and many useful alternate skillcards. High tier players generally like to take a lot of bombs and hangekis with them, but I don't use them at all.
