Quick summary for what happened on the island this time:

Eva solves the epitaph, all of the adults go down and find the gold.
Along with it they find empty-eyed Beatrice who congratulates them.
She tells them about 900-ton time bomb that will destroy almost the entire island that explodes roughly in 24 hours (it's the end of day 1, so from the beginning of the game they always have only 48 hours). You can't defuse it, you can only hide.
Adults start arguing about what to do and about how to share the gold.
Eva gets in argument with Krauss, her rifle accidently shoots: Natsuhi is dead.
Krauss is enraged and aims at Eva but Hideyoshi gets in his way. They wrestle, rifle shoots: Kraus is dead.
Eva and Hideyoshi try to convince Rosa to hide that fact but she stands firm and even laughs at them.
Kyrie kills Rosa, Hideyoshi, Beatrice and wounds Eva.
Rudolph calls kids and gives them that 'test'.
Kyrie shoots Jessica.
George is shot 3 times before he is dead (Rudolph: haha. it's that easy to kill people? fun! hahahaha)
Rudolph and Kyrye rendzevous, Kyrie is mutilating Jessica's corpse.
Kyrie goes to finish off the rest.

Asumu and Kyrie are revealed to be the same person. Asumu is her vulnerable side, Kyrie is her business/methodical side. (North Wind and Sun parallels here) Battler is indeed her son, but because of the DID, she can't accept him, and this also explains her miscarriage. Asumu doesn't really exist so Battler can't really be her son.

However, 6 years down the line something happens which causes her to 'kill off' the Asumu personality entirely, (like the Zepar/Furfur fight, two halfs can't love one whole). The cause or result of this is that Battler lives with his grandparents.

Would R07 actually do this? Yes, he probably would.

Kyrie isn't the culprit, because she kills for the money, and she kills Rosa from the back - Kyrie is backstabber.
Kyrie has a very good brains, but she just TOO MUCH OBSESSED WITH RUDOLF AND ASUMU IS ALWAYS THE ONE WHO IS BLAMED.
RUDOLF goes easily in insane state. He since episode one is always shown as having a WEAK WILL and he follows Kyrie's orders almost without question.
Eva is a very emotional person, but she is always shown as trough person with some brains. She is a kind of person will fight till the end.

Kyrie and Rudolf may not be the culprit. But it doesn't change the fact that what they done was horrible (What Bern interprets as the truth). Their only defence in thisscene was that they lost their mind thanks to their greed and wasn't thinking rationaly at all. Also Bern being Bern pretty much made the scene even more twisted and evil than it was. Kyrie isn't this evil and insane and Rudolf isn't this bloodlusted.
