Music was good, character designs were typical generic animay look. I would have preferred ZUN art though(I think EOSD hong and patchy are cute).

Music wasn't as good as usual, art is kind of weird due to not being used to it. Game is fun and plays fine, so who the fuck cares?

It's good/hard enough that I consider it one of the "main" games despite being spinoff as fuck.

Comparing to the older touhous (6..9) it stinks and you know it..

I was expecting this to be another case of Double Spoiler.
But then I played it some more and am amazed how much fun this is.
The freezing the bullets system is so much fun to use and the art and music is pretty nice. I miss ZUN art though, and a new character would've been nice :\

Guys, stop bashing the art. It might not be ZUNart, but it's still Touhou art; it's someone that ZUN trusted with making art for his comics, not any random artist.

And, hell, it's not even a normal Touhou. Start being disappointed if he does the same for 13 (which he won't).

Well, no, I don't usually go to the toilet to have fun and have some deep thoughts about how much I like frilly dresses while dodging the escaped drops while I'm flushing every content down. But again, I don't find the plot too appealing, nor the concept, but I like the games in every other aspect.

The game is quite amusing and art isn't even that awful.
I'm waiting for Touhou 13, so I won't put too much thought into side dishes.

I have to admit that this game made me like Cirno more, even though most of her fandom is as retarded as they think she is. Making the game feel harder because she's relatively weak and because she likes making her feats appear bigger than they are was an awesome idea, and I loved how at the end of Extra SHE is the one whose clothes are all torn off.

When people say they play Touhou for the "plot" I think they mean the setting/mood/dialog/&c. Because nothing really happens, but it's another patch in the big stupid quilt.

This game is so hard, I feel like a secondary.
I wish the freeze bomb was instant, like aya's camera. I'd gladly trade the perfect freeze bomb for an instant freeze. The fact that you have to hold it down and then release kills me almost 100% of my deaths.
