They should make a touhou animu where all of the touhous are normal high school girls, but they sometimes transform into touhous and then travel to gonsokyo land where they do magic battles.
It would combine moe moe slice of life with hardcore animu action fighting. Otakus would be all over it.

No, they should make an one hour OVA instead. It could have a non linear storytelling where they cut from real life to gensokyo and back. And the gensokyo parts are a metaphor for their relationships. Like, Alice falls in love in Marisa, but then Marisa makes a new friend (Patchouli, for example) and then Alice becomes jealous and then they make awesome battles in Gensokyo and then everyone is happy again, but this time Patchouli becomes jealous.
